Tata Neu HDFC 5000 Rs. Temporary Credit Limit - How to remove?

Hello Folks,

I received my Tata Neu Infinity HDFC CC on Thursday and it is Sunday now. The temporary card limit is still 5000 rupees. I have some urgent purchases to be made in Croma but I am waiting for this limit to be removed (my HDFC other CC limit is 5 Lakhs). How much time does it take for the temporary limit to be removed? Any ways to expedite?

The limit is finally updated today. Got an SMS. Had to do multiple followups.

The credit limit of your new Credit Card xxxx is now shared with your existing HDFC Bank Credit Card(s).

Same here. The limit was restored today, so time to utilise the UPI benefit of Rupay to its maximum now 😉

Hdfc is atleast not doing it for now ! But then every such trick has an element of risk , so always be careful with respect to mixing other spends along with this.

As an example people have add SC wallet load blocked but I use it extensively for good amount of other online/offline txn and have done wallet loads of more than a lakh without issues , so i guess one important thing is to not utilise more than 50% of credit limit and second thing is always mix it with other spends, else can always be a red flag.

It will be combined limit, you can spend upto 2 lakhs on same card if you want to.

How to identify which merchant is eligible for Cashback? Any idea?
Is it still unlimited Neucoins for UPI txns? i.e. no 500 capping as of now which is mentioned in T&Cs.

You can max spend ₹6L on both cards combined. Means, you can't spend more than ₹6L from HDFC cards if u have a shared limit.

I am not sure how to identify, but I am still using it anyways, cz if i get cashback well and good, if not still fine because it is not like I am paying anything extra.

also, there is no cap still, last month i got more than 800 coins for payments made with UPI.
