Tata Neu HDFC 5000 Rs. Temporary Credit Limit - How to remove?

Hello Folks,

I received my Tata Neu Infinity HDFC CC on Thursday and it is Sunday now. The temporary card limit is still 5000 rupees. I have some urgent purchases to be made in Croma but I am waiting for this limit to be removed (my HDFC other CC limit is 5 Lakhs). How much time does it take for the temporary limit to be removed? Any ways to expedite?

Card delivered on Tuesday itself , but limit still showing 5k 😭.

There is no need to worry about the card limit, it can take up to 7 working days.

It seems HDFC removes temporary credit limit on Neu cards in batches.. for me it took more than 2 weeks to get actual limits.. So you have to wait..

I have a hdfc indian oil card and few days back i took a neu infinity card, now i want to close my existing hdfc card, is it going to created any issue with credit limit etc as both the cards share same credit limit?

I got my card 2 days back. I see my limit as 86,000 (in HDFC cards app), but my 7000 transaction failed. I vaguely remember getting an SMS telling that my initial limit will be 5k, but I dont remember for how many days. Is it so or, if I see my limit as 86k, I should be able to transact without 5k limit? Should I call the support or wait for a week?

Do check if there is any the transaction wise limit in app . Eg. Limit for wifi, pos, online etc.

I checked, they are all 10k

13Mar Update: Just checked with HDFC customer support. They see my Cr Limit as 86k and are saying there's no restriction. But, my 11k transaction failed again.

Any suggestions pls?

Since its combined limit for Tata Neu. Will the spending also considred combined. Say if I have DCB where my annual spend target is 8L will tata new spend also be counted towards DCB to meet the target ?? or Do I need to spend separately on DCB only.
