HDFC Tata neuPass devaluation in the Tata Neu App ...from now on 5% returns is only for Legend members who does more than Rs40k transaction, for others it's 4%/3%/2%/1% on spend based.

 

Tata Neu - Bigbasket Devaluation:

They seem to have removed extra 10% Instant discount coupon with Neucard on orders around 2.5k.

This discount used to be valid from 1-25 every month. this month i don't see it in vouchers.

Does anybody have it this month?

I have seen that mostly from 1st to 7th on bigbasket and for longer preiod on bbnow.

Even I cannot see the hdfc card offer on BB for Nov'24.
Does the code NEUCARDCC give the 10% upfront discount on checkout for orders over 2500?

For me new tier system is reverted. I am back with old neupass UI

 

Is there any separate capping of neucoins for Utility bills and Insurance payments? For Utility bill payments there is 5% neucoins credit with capping of 2000 neucoins per month.Will we receive 5% neucoins for Insurance payments separately or it is also part of utility payment?

To be honest I am not very satisfied with Tata Neu Infinity.
I have it LTF, but a lot of people were saying it is giving excellent rewards etc.
But since I started using I am not seeing any great returns as such, It is just the usual 5% returns nothing great to be exciting.
There could be some spend based offers and rewards league etc.
But for a normal spender, these are a bit high targets to achieve. Overall the experience has been nothing more than normal.
Expect 5% and you will be happy, anything more than that is just a bonus.

Getting 5% on utility is not common, right? Also, 1.5% offline is not very common. There will be like 5 cards or less in non premium segment that gives 1.5% or more on offline. Obviously, discount is not fully from HDFC but part of this is covered by Tata.

Also, please understand issuer bank makes like 1.5% on mdr. It surprises me that they give 5% discount. If they are giving 5% on almost everything, they can't be making money out of you. Giving 5% discount by a retail store is easy. Giving 5% discount on gtv by payment processor is crazy.

Between 1st - 7th of the month, on BigBasket you get upfront 10% discount on min cart value of 2500. Over that you get 5% coins back on the Neu app and another 5% back on the card. On some days, they also give an additional 200 or so coins for min spend over 2000 on BigBasket which is over the above 20%. Current on bbnow, between 7-11 am, you get 60 coins on 600 spend which is over the 5%app+5%card coins.
On bill pay, you get 5% back upto the capping.
On am averag my return on using Neu Infinity for a whole year is about 6-7% returns.
I do not use the card for swipe where you get 1.5% back, only for BigBasket and Utility.

Edit. One thing to note is that for Nov'24, the hdfc Neu code for 10% upfront discount was not there. All other Banks were there but not HDFC. Not sure why, I reached out to cc but got no reply as usual. I used Axis for the 10% code upfront discount. So eventually I lost the 5% cb on the card since I didn't use Neu Infinity.

Thanks for this. I was not aware of the time-based (7 - 11 am) and date-based (1st to 7th every month) offers.

Neupass is available to any user who is registered with Neuapp. Various tiers of Neupass was only available to few users. Most folks are on default Neupass which gives 5% neucoins (+5% / +2% on Neu cards) cashback.
