Initially I had a lot of trouble tracking points on transactions made through IndusInd Exclusive debit card. So with some help from ChatGPT, I made this excel template to note my monthly spends and corresponding reward points which is expected. Now it is much easier to pinpoint the transactions for which the rewards have not been credited.
1. Note down details of each transaction made using Exclusive debit card.
2. Column D and F are automatically calculated for monthly cumulative amount and reward points based on the transaction amount.
3. IndusInd is not regular in crediting points You can check the mobile app or Internet Banking site from time to time to confirm points have been credited. Note the difference in points before and after. That will give you number of points credited at one time.
4. See the total of reward points expected and verify if the same number of points have been credited. Most of the time it will match roughly with the calculated figure.
5. If you have verified that points credited, mark the last column as yes. If there is something missing, you can easily find out for which transaction you have not received points. The difference will be the same number as per points expected column.
6. In case there is a missing points issue, you can wait for few days. If the transaction which happened after the missing one has been rewarded, then you can check if the missing one has any MCC issue, for example it may not be eligible for points. Otherwise, you can take up with priority.care team with the transaction details.
