Transition from cashback cards to Points cards.

Hey guys,
This is my first post, i read a lot but need some guidance.
So i have in total 10 cards

Sbi Cashback
Hdfc Regalia gold (ltf)
Hdfc Swiggy
Hdfc Tat neu infinity (ltf)
Axis myzone (ltf)
Au ixigo (ltf)
Icici amzn pay
Icici coral rupay
Federal signet
Hsbc live+

Most of these are cashback cards and i make a decent cashback amount from them around 40k in the last year, but i want to get in the points game as the returns are better i do end up spending around 8-10 Lacs an year on cards but most of these transactions are online for food shopping and travel and utility.

I would love to get some insights on what cards i should focus on getting to replace these.

I think using Swiggy and Live+ you can easily get 10% on food/groceries.
SBI CB covers your online expenses giving 5% returns.

These are good returns on spending, if you want to wet your feet in the points game start by getting Amex Membership Rewards card for either 6k(1.5k*4) or 20k spends a month.

I too always preferred points over cb due to the satisfaction factor.. (small cbs every month compared to accumulating points to redeem flights or luxury hotel, for which otherwise i would never pay in my life. Its the experience u get)
I cant get the amexes or infinia..
1) I use marquee for points to redeem ffor flights (no need to transfer miles, just simply book via the portal for any flights to anywhere)
2) atlas for miles to convert to accor (to book luxury hotels)
3) tataneu infinity for rupay spends (coins can be used for groceries or dress purchases)

I keep it simple and this is what i personally do.

How much you travel in a year and what's your most preferred stay category?

If you travel very frequently and want to experience luxury stays, then only the points game is useful.

Otherwise Cashback is good. Don't fall for the points FOMO.
Travel wouldnt be much around 1 lacs a year

You could have gotten your hands on Vistara or Air India cards for starters. But since they are discontinued now, best to stick to cashback for now and wait for any new card launch from Air India (Maharaja Club)
Meanwhile you can divert your hotel and flight spends to RG via Smartbuy, grocery/dining/dept to Live+, amzn and flipkrt and other online spends to SBI CB, utility to HDFC TNI
Rest of the cards are only for instant discount offers.
Usage of HDFC Swiggy is already covered with SBI CB and HSBC Live+, might consider getting rid of it if its paid (your choice)

For getting into points/miles, start with a single card first - Axis Atlas and divert majority of your spends to this card

My food spending on swiggy is a lot as i live far away from home i end up using the entire 15k month limit for 10% cashback on it. It makes sense to keep both for me.
