Offer Fulfilled! Uber One - Is it worth it? - Query & Discussion

The offer has been fulfilled by the bank/company.
Uber One is worth it, but only for 1st month. I tested it in Bangalore and Delhi last month, got bookings faster, most drivers had 4.8+ ratings. Cancellations were significantly lower. Prices were also lower, but that was due to an 20% promo offer I received from Uber, not due to Uber One subscription.

Starting 18th February 2025, you will no longer be able to use gift cards for Auto trips on Uber. Gift cards will continue to be available for other eligible products. You can continue to enjoy hassle free rides on Uber Auto by paying in Cash.
Which auto guy anyway accept Uber online payment? It is always Cash Saar or Gpay if they decide to come.

And I got Uber One without knowing this last week 🤡 utter waste of money!

Idk how to pay for my work rides now. They are usually 4-5km or less and auto is faster and more reliable. I put all of it on corp amex or icici. Now I will have to wait a month for reimbursement ffs 🤦🏻‍♂️ and file reimbursement forms.

I have been using AmazonPay with auto for almost 2 years now and around 90% of the time had no issues
Exactly, bro! Except for 1-2 rides, I’ve had no issues paying via my company credit card. But now I’m stuck—I don’t know what to do. My colleagues use their company cards to fill up their car or bike fuel, but I can’t since I have vision in only one eye, so I won’t get a license, and it wouldn’t be safe anyway.

Does Rapido or Ola support card payments for auto rides?

I really didn't have much difficulty with auto drivers in Delhi when it cames to online payments through cards, wallets or Uber vouchers. This move from Uber is a real setback, it is inconvenient, and I am losing out on the 10 % cashback on my RBL Monthly Treats CC. Cabs are too much more expensive and so not viable.
Last time I booked auto on Ola, it was cash only. Don't know about Rapido, but Rapido drivers have been very fussy about non-cash payments and would often cancel the rides.

Agreed I did not face any resistance or cancellations too! I liked the connivence card payments offered tbvh! I don't mind cabs for 8km+ rides as price becomes same only but for less distance than 8km - I find auto quicker and better. So sad indeed..

Ola for autos is cash only! Rapido for anything is cash only - we are fucked from all over lol.

Also usage of uber credit has gone for auto rides.

Is apay also disabled for autos?
Also uber one users will earn 10% cashback but won't be able to use it on autos.
yes and yes! you can only directly pay drivers for uber auto now! they don't take any responsibility of service or price either acc to ToS - it's absolute shitshow.

They moved autos away from commission model because auto people were upset and all other major players were commission free

For now they have just stopped commissions but they'll move to a one time platform fee model is what I heard from auto guy today

Rapido has been using the subscription model even for cabs it seems. Made them compete better with Ola and Uber it has been reported. Perhaps Uber might also be getting ready to move to a subscription model... But removing non-cash payment is seriously inconvenient...
