TF Select
Anyone using unity sfb savings account, please share your experiences on the mobile banking app and the debit card if you got( they recently launched easy rupay DC).

Unity does not have an established net banking system yet. The debit cards have been recently launched. Net banking system and UPI will follow soon. Also the Rupay Select debit card is not being given with any account type at the moment.

Only the Rupay Platinum debit card is being given the Pearl Account which is recently launched especially for the Women. - Confirmed this with an Unity Bank employee.

Same as last month
Oke

Had filled the Google Docs form on the website and someone from the closest branch came to my place to collect the documents and cheque.

As of now only one type of account is active for general male users. Funding has to be done through NEFT and RTGS but not IMPS.

I was told there are no charges until Sep 30, so seems this month's deadline has been extended for another quarter.

I told them that I am more interested in the FD and so the person who visited my place took my signature on few FD forms and told me to let them know over call whenever I want to open the FD by transferring balance from the savings account at which time they will use the pre-signed forms. Then some clerk/peon from the branch will deliver the FD receipt to my place the next day.

Too basic at the moment with no app and only WhatsApp support that doesn't support FD creation but guess have to see how it develops over the rest of the year.

How is RBI even allowing this bank to function when it raps every other bank on IT infrastructure.

They have their own app as well, you can login into that app post creation of customer ID which you can see on fdr.
You can request for debit card and enjoy upi services as well.
Their app is capable of handling big amount neft/rtgs/imps as well but only drawback is that you need to initiate the transaction during banking hours only.

If you want to create only FD then it is a old fashioned way for now, however post creation of customer id, tell them you want to login into the app where in you can see all your fd.

I received the account number from the bank representative who came to my place. I downloaded the app and it allows login using the savings account and mobile number. However, I get a server error when I try to login. The bank representative says that the app doesn’t work for new users of the bank.

On the other hand, when I use the CIF provided by the representative instead of account number, it states to contact the branch for mobile banking. So can the branch activate mobile banking?

Also I was immediately able to use IMPS to transfer funds, so not sure why I was told to use NEFT and RTGS instead. Either way, quite an odd way to operate a bank in this day and age, where a digital first bank is operating in such a manual manner.

Just wait for some time they are upgrading their app

Does anyone know if we can open a FD in unity sfb without opening an account i.e. via the route of apps like stable money, ind money etc. ?

they still not rollout upi services for new users i confirm via branch and cc..
I received the following message from their customer care as well. Not that I need to use the money now, so as long as I can check the FD and balance over WhatsApp, it is fine for the rates provided.

Our Mobile App is undergoing an upgrade. It will be not accessible to new customers, whereas existing customers won't be able to complete their first-time registration.

Furthermore, UPI Facility is presently unavailable. UPI registration through Unity Bank Easy Debit Card is not yet available. The bank is in process to provide the said facility to customers and will be made available very soon. We are sensitive to your concern but currently we are unable to provide any specific information regarding the same.
