Nope, received only personalized cheque book through Speed Post. Elite Metal DC is generated and I can see it in the app although no dispatch intimation yet. After adding it in Rupay Select I can see these benefits:

Visited bank to apply for this account today. The bank official first said they would require some company code but later said lets apply in the system first then see. After applying in their system it was allowing this variant. Asked for salary statement and id proofs and it got created. Waiting for the account to get activated and dispatch of the deliverables. dont worry....it's not just nirmala tai....any finance minister of any political party will be after your 50% salary....coz there are freakin more than 70% population "poor" (maybe more/less).....they'll hand out freebies in order to get their vote....you cannot do anything...😛

it's true going by the book... used to happen earlier when the banks manually debited bulk salary from current account of company and credit to individual salary accounts....(Hence, banks would prefer having both accounts in their bank only).....however, the practice is now going away since salary credit happens through portals/systems. So, currently many PSUs open salary accounts without cross checking the company's current accounts.......
try in another branch - they may do it with just a payslip/ID card.
