Did you have an existing relationship with UBI, or did you have an old UBI savings account that was upgraded to a salary account? Old UBI regular savings account holders don't get the RuPay Select VDC after upgrade or account variant change.

This is turning out to be sort of a nightmare for me...both branches near me say... cannot open if company doesn't have current account with UBI... I'm not sure what to do now...force my company to open current account with them???

Thats a bizarre ask from the bank officials. Did you ask them to try it in their system first. Because if they try, they can definitely open it without any company code or anything of that sort.

I also got my welcome kit today and I loved it 🥰 .Bank lady was super polite and helped me a lot to make the things quicker. but have to educate her with many things to convince her, as my employer was not listed.

It is the most premium RSDC that is there in the market today. Apart from OTT, everything refreshes quarterly, and few monthly.
