employer not listed meaning....not having current account with UBI or other meaning (kindly clarify it also!). Also what did you do to "educate" her?....also which city?

My company is not listed in their portal. She denied first i cannot open salary account first then I told her people are opening without having their company listed and she told she’ll try. Then she told my take home salary should be 1.8L then I showed 1.5L single credit in account is also eligible for elite salary account.

And previously I closed my account with UBI due to a heated argument with the BM in another branch where she asked me to note down all my 40-50 credit cards nos and issuer banks list in a white paper and forced me attach it with the cc application to process it. I then argued and tore the form in front of the lady BM and closed the account on the same day. (1year ago)

In the new branch, I had to tell the lady about the previous closed account, and they first deleted my old data attached to my CID and VYOM app which took a day and then only opened a new ELITE account. The lady was patient and helped me a lot even on whatsapp for all the above things. Never seen a PSU bank employee being so polite and helpful.

The city is bangalore and salary account will remain in HDFC...

Salary slips, bank statements.

Excellent staff at the branch. Kept on trying till they succeeded. Got run time error 3 times, and succeeded on the 4th attempt. Initially they thought run time error was due to not giving company code for salary account but I insisted that my friends opened without company code. They agreed and kept on trying. Thanks for such wonderful service.

There is nothing called offline. You are not in the 90's, everything is online, either you do it or their staff do it. They are not maintaining hand-written ledger books.

Yes, realized later when they called me asking for OTP for mobile and email verification. In morning same person told me differently

i went to my nearest branch....they told me that if your company has a current account with us only then we can open a salary account otherwise i have to open normal savings account....is it true...any1 has any idea?

They said the same here first - then I clarified that I want Elite Salary account, then they enquired with senior and said its possible.

It depends on your power of convincing the branch staff. I opened with just PAN, Aadhaar and one photo and deposited 1K in cash after account opening (they were willing to take 500 as well). They only asked me verbally my employer name. My employer does not have any account with Union Bank.

Official requirement: 1 single credit of 1.5L or more between 26th to 10th of next month. If this does not happen for 3 months, account will be downgraded to normal Savings Account and all benefits of Elite Salary Account will be withdrawn.

Pro Tip: Try in a small branch. For big branches one account or one credit of 1.5L a month will not have any impact. My branch is very small with max 5-7 staff. It was also their first SALEL account. They were not even aware of this product. Additional advantage that I leveraged: I walked in on the last working day of the FY.

Nope, no RM. App asking to upgrade to HNI account for RM. Frankly, I am happy not to have RM. They only eat your head for funding, FD, Insurance, etc.

Asked them to open Solo account and was told runtime error.

Keep insisting. In my case they got runtime error 3 times. Succeeded on the fourth attempt.

For my case now they're asking that bring a letter from HR stating that the company doesn't have issues with me opening a salary account in UBI ...also they want it signed by HR... computer generated letter won't suffice....my HR told they'll not issue signed letter for such a purpose....plus they want my company id card xerox... issue is my company id card doesn't have any name of company...logo of company etc...on it ..just has my photo and name...they told such id card will also not work...this is such ridiculous asks from the branch...doss any1 have number of the rm/branch employee who opened with minimal docs???... I'll call them and make them talk to my branch ppl.

Why do you think another branch staff will talk to your branch staff and try to convince him to open an account for you?
