What happens when you upgrade a credit card and your old credit card has amount due in negative?

I upgraded from legend to tiger. I over paid while paying bills over last couple of cycles in legend so it has amount due in negative. How can I claim that amount?
Should that automatically show in my upgraded tiger. Or can I ask bank to refund?

Send a canceled cheque via email if you don't have an account with them.
