You might have confused it with the offers that HDFC sends out to customers periodically. Those offers are specific to individual users, and sometimes you receive them for achieving certain milestones.

It is irrespective of payment mode. Only Apay GVs have that condition.

Why not double dip, if you have an intermiles account. With few points, you can get 5% discount and on the balance you can get cashback/ points as per your card.
