Clause 16 of the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021 (RB-IOS) states that the RBI Ombudsman can reject a complaint at any stage if it is non-maintainable under Clause 10 of the RB-IOS. The Ombudsman can also reject a complaint if it is:
  • A request for guidance, explanation, or suggestions
  • Without sufficient cause
  • Not pursued with reasonable diligence
  • If the Ombudsman doesn't think there is a deficiency in service
  • If the compensation sought is beyond the Ombudsman's power to award
  • If the complaint requires extensive documentary or oral evidence
  • If the Ombudsman doesn't think there was financial loss, damage, or inconvenience to the complainant

HDFC has blocked my PayZapp Wallet on May 7th 2024 for high number of transactions during their Cricket League contest.

Thereafter I opened countless Service tickets on PayZapp, but everytime I used to just receive a stock reply alongwith an immediate closure of the ticket with no resolution. Finally in one ticket, they asked me to reach out to HDFC Bank inorder to unblock my PayZapp Account.

When I e-mailed HDFC Bank's support they asked me to quote the then CRM number to PayZapp and ask them to unblock but PayZapp Support still did not unblock my account.

I request you to kindly help me in filing a complaint in RBI Ombudsman, I once tried to do, but when I selected that my complaint is "not related credit card" they asked the Branch against which the complaint has to be filed. Should I enter my Home Branch details? I hesitated at that time as my complaint is unrelated to the branch.
