What's your experience with Hair Care Products?

I think you may be right. Most of my work is indoor and rarely get sunlight exposure.

Thanks for suggesting it. I will get it checked.

Anything else I should get checked?
Even for outside people
Vitamin d3 is low
It's universal problem nowadays

Stress is also major cause of hair fall

Can you please recommend what food or medication I should take to fix the d problem.
Buy vitamin d3 atleast 10 packet ( sachets -50k unit company one cost 30 rs something)
Take 7 days regularly then each week once with Luke warm milk in evening

Or get your reports see how low or normal it is then u can choose injection too if it's too low

DE is fat soluble so better take it with warm milk

But get yourself checked

Hey everyone!

I’m curious to hear about your experiences with hair care products. Specifically, has there been any oil or shampoo that has really helped you control hair fall or strengthen your hair?

I’ve been trying to find something that works for me, and I’d love to hear your recommendations or any tips you might have. Whether it’s a specific brand, a DIY solution, or a routine that’s made a difference.

Also mention your skin - oily, dry, sensitive or normal.

Thanks,

@SSV Would love to here your experience too. Specially those things that do not work.

EDIT My Experience:-

I have oily scalp that means I have to shampoo every day. I have dandruff but no itching so I guess its not flaky scalp. May be its genetics but I guess it should not be. Everyone in my family both mother and father's side have good amount of hair. Even my grandfather who is 87 years old has full hair. 🤣

I tried minoxidil, using it for almost 10 months still very tiny improvements almost nothing. My hair is falling but reducing after a certain amount. New hairs grow but they never mature enough before falling again.

Anyone else has this kind of experience?
In the market, 90% of the available products—whether it's shampoo, conditioner, or hair oil—are of very low quality.

First, it's important to understand the reasons behind hair fall. It can be due to genetics, underlying health issues, or poor diet and lifestyle choices.

Secondly, I recommend using a good anti-dandruff shampoo that is free from sulfates and paraffin. These shampoos are usually expensive but worth the investment.

After that, I suggest using a high-quality hair serum on a daily basis. It helps protect your hair from sun exposure and heat while keeping it smooth and shiny.

If you are experiencing severe hair fall, consider starting a good-quality hair growth serum as part of your daily routine.

Since using hair oil daily can be difficult in today's busy lifestyle, I recommend choosing a good hair oil and applying it once a week, whenever convenient. Massage it into your scalp and leave it overnight, then wash it off the next day with shampoo. This will provide essential nutrition to your hair.

Following these simple steps can significantly help in preventing hair problems.

If you need further assistance, feel free to contact me. I am a doctor and can provide valuable guidance on this matter.

You mean 50000 IU?
Are sachets more effective than pills.
Yes if you take it with warm milk .
Pills are usually given In low dosage along with other multivitamin & suppliment

Take 7 days sachets daily then u can switch to tablet or chewable tablets for once a week for 3 month

You can even try multivitamin suppliment ( cost approx 1200 a box) but it all depends are you low on multivitamins & need other suppliments like iron etc

First get it tested and find out Vitamin D level , along with other tests which should also include B12.

Vitamin D levels:
Less than 30 - Deficinet
30 - 100 - Normal
More than 100 Excess..

If your levels are less than say 10 , then injection may be needed.
If it is between 10 to 30 , oral medication should be fine..
all the above numbers are quoted general in nature, individual cases requirements may vary depending up on other factors.

Consult a qualified physician for proper advise. I am from accontancy . IT background.. what do I know ?? 😉
Anyway coming back to Vitamin D.

What I take , 50K IU, Nano shot oral solution , I feel this is better absorbed.
I take COM D3 nano shot Oral solution priced at around Rs65.. you can buy any brand you want..

VItamin D is fat soluble , means it gets absorbed into the body via fats.. so take this after your big meal of the day which contained some considerable fat intake..
Again, there is a direct relationship between Calcium and vitamin D.. you need to take calcium rich foods ( or supplement) along with Vitamid D intake. I will explain this in a seperate post , if needed.

Coming back to how I buy vitamin D supplment

I buy COM D3 50K ,nano shot Oral solution , along with Calcium supplement via Tata Neu app, thru 1MG .. this is one of the way I use my Tata Neu Coins..

all the best

Yea I know atleast way bettEr than before
You may keep taking weekly for another 2 or 3 months and then scale back to monthly once.. The ideal level should be around 50..
If you get the Sun exposure then don't need to take much supplements.
Again it depends on your age, if you are deficient for relatively shorter period then you wo t see any symptoms..
But I strongly suggest ton have the vitamin d level at around 50 for the majority ofnour life for its massive benefits health wise long term..you will thank me when you are in 60's or 70's..
Have fun
