When does the 1.35lk point kicks in after spending 50k?

Cause that’s cheap Amex points. Had to spend around 15-20L non optimised spends to get 1L points on Amex using Reserve and Gold. 😆
Do you know that amex itself sells points for 40 paisa and they are actually worth 33 paisa?
Obviously Amex will sell the points at a profit

Just imagine if every large bank and/or business start creating their own currency out of thin air without any limits or controls, and sells it for real money

They sell at 40 Paisa upto 10000 points in a calendar year. Would you sell your Amex points at 33 Paisa?
Of course ! For 4 years I was redeeming American express points for Amazon pay (18k collection).
Then I got fed up adding 1500 x 4 times every month
So I closed the card, because they wanted me to pay 50% fee in addition to all the trouble

You will need 177000 points just to break even, leave alone 2x or 3x.
Platinum charge card is profitable for Amex, not for the customer
the other cards are much better
Gold charge is best then MRCC then Platinum travel
How did you reach 177,000 number? Also why would you redeem it against Amazon Pay vouchers? Thats like getting the least out of those points.

Bruh...

I already got 2-3x return...lol.
Marriott hotels are overpriced to make the points appear to be worth a lot instead of just 20--33 paisa.
See this real life example --

3* city centre hotel for 3 adults in a room at or near Hollywood boulevard in Los Angeles (same location, same dates)--

1) Revenue price for a quadruple room in a 3* hotel at Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles is Rs. 8900/night including forex markup & all taxes, booked on Agoda (not directly, but through Google hotels = much cheaper)

2) Similar 3* Marriott hotel in the same location/same dates (cheaper Marriott hotels are 29 to 60 km away)--
a) Courtyard Los Angeles is $337/night or 42000 Marriott points/night.
b) Moxy downtown Los Angeles is $355/night or 44000 Marriott points/night.
Both these make Marriott points appear to be worth approx. 1.48, instead of only 20--21 Paisa

3) Similar 3* Accor hotel (Mama Earth) in the same location/same dates is 33000 Accor points/night
