Which banks allows us to easily & properly turn off SMS alerts through net banking / mobile app ?
Or where there r no charges for SMS alerts ?
Pls tell except SBI , KOTAK, BOB .

More interested to know about SFBs , AU, FEDERAL , PNB , CANARA, CENTRAL, UNION, HDFC , ICICI , AXIS , INDUSIND .
Tell about any other bank u know pls 🙏🏻

HDFC doesn't charge for SMS alerts if you have Savings Max and above variant.

Even if you have lower variant, disable alerts from app/netbanking and you will still receive most of the results without any charges

Axis charges max 15+gst per

it depends on bank to bank and variant to variant.

wealth variants usually no charges but basic or 10k have charges.

ex:

hdfc - savingsmax and above no charges. 25k mab

au - royal and above no charges. 1L mab

Indus - 50k mab and above no charges

its not possible to list all combinations. if you want to particular bank in particular mab a lot easier to get response.

I m asking for "Least balance Maintainence variant" like
0 balance accounts wherever possible like federal , indusind , SFBs ,
2k Maintainence for govt banks,
10k Maintainence for ICICI , AXIS etc
And main part is even if the bank charges, is there straight away method through net banking/app to disable/stop it like available in BOB , KOTAK.

Bcz SOC doesn't mention that turning off or disabling through net banking/app possible or not.
As soon as i got to know from TF community only that turning off in BOB is possible i immediately opened that account, but want to open atleast 2 more so asking here turning off possible or not and for what banks ?

Indusind toh freeze ka King hai 🤦🏻 (esp for online opened accounts) , got to know from TF community only.
IDFC , i m not student any more, not interested in their 10k Maintainence.

ICICI charges 15p/sms upto Rs.100/qtr in regular account. If you have ICICI card with 4L limit and can do 1L IF, open Privilege account. Many charges are waived off for this account.

low balance, you have to pay charges. you can always disable by calling customer care but transaction sms cant disable and attract charges.

bank giving you 10k account to earn more from these charges cant avoid unless going for premium accounts.
