Other than that, I will only reconsider if I am eligible for a Premier salary account (which will take a long time to reach a salary of 3L+).

Then I am assuming you became eligible with the 40L TRV criterion? Was it FD or demat? I want HSBC Premier but I dont want to leave 40L in FD but will happily put it in stocks. Is this possible? Cant find any info on it.

I doubt it. They are a real stickler for these things.
The premier cc is especially good for paying large amounts of rent. The 3% cb on anything is pretty decent.

I haven't taken premier. And I won't probably. HSBC is very difficult to bank with.

I'm not sure if they consider HSBC's own demat account valuation for TRV. (If at all they do)

Got the IDFC Firstap Rupay.

Love the Packaging but the quality of the card is cheap. Just a Cardboard Card.

But they have well compensated me with 4000 RPs.

Also, you can use it for Amazon & Swiggy Friday offers & CC Bill Payments.

Any other psu bank debit card also offering similar benefits ?

As we step into 2025, many are re-evaluating their financial choices, including which debit or credit cards to keep or close. Whether it's due to high fees, reduced benefits, better alternatives, or simply streamlining finances, card closures are a key part of financial management. Share your experiences—Which debit or credit card have you already closed or are planning to close in 2025, and what led to your decision?

Cards I have already closed in 2025, and the reasons for their closure.
Credit Cards:

  • HDFC Tata Neu Plus (Rupay) - HDFC was not upgrading my card to Infinity or any other HDFC Core card, and the limit was quite low compared to my other cards, they gave me 1 LE from 45K to 74K.
  • ICICI Times Prime (Visa) - I acquired it solely as a collectible.
  • Axis Neo LTF (Rupay) - Closed the card and Got Axis Privilege LTF
Debit Cards:
  • ICICI WM MC World upgraded to ICICI Wealth Select Visa Infinite.
Credit Cards: (Scheduled for closure upon renewal)
  • IDFC Ashva (Visa) - Depends on IDFC Renewal Benefits.
  • RBL BMS Play (MC) - Got it FYF from 2nd year doesn't make any sense after BMS discontinued the Superstar program.
  • SBM One Card (FD) (Visa) - Not getting an unsecured card upgrade offer will close after maturity.
  • Axis Neo (Rupay) - Upgrade to some other card.
Debit Cards: (Scheduled for closure upon renewal)
  • BOB Rupay Platinum(Blue One)
  • BOB Bharat Petroleum Rupay Platinum
  • BOB Sapphire - Devaluation in Airport Pick up & Drop Service.
Cards I am Planning to get in 2025:
  • ICICI Emerald Metal
  • HDFC CC will open a new account and wait for pre-approved offers
  • IDFC Private Metal DC
  • BOB Snapdeal LTF (Rupay)
  • Indusind Eazydiner Signature
  • RBL Shoprite LTF
  • Indusind Delight DC
  • Kotak 811 Super Account

Feel free to share your thoughts and portfolio.
Update(15/03/2025):

Axis Neo LTF (Rupay) -
Closed the card and Got Axis Privilege LTF.
I know the card doesn’t offer exceptional benefits, but it’s still better than Axis Neo when it comes to instant discount offers.

BOB Snapdeal LTF (Rupay) - Got the card Pre-approved(05/02/2025)

No, my Neo was 10 months old, that's why no cooldown period.
