Which Rupay card should I go for?

I followed your advice and applied for the HDFC Pixel card. Lets see how it goes assuming that my application is approved.

I found an ad on Jupiter Edge credit card and downloaded the Jupiter app. After the basic details like the PAN and KYC, I got the card. So far it seems ok but the customer support is bad. I may have to cancel the card if this Pixel card does better and if their customer support gets really bad.

Yeah that Tata one isn't compelling to me so I didn't opt for that. The reason why I'm hesitating to go for paid cards is because of how the cashback for them works. If I can't convert it to cash and use it to buy things, then paying an annual fee seems a bit..pointless. This recently I had an SBI simplysave FD card but the points I got didn't seem to do much because it only applies to vouchers that SBI offers.

I just want to make sure that I'm getting cards that meet my needs and don't screw up the cashback too much. I learnt it the hard way when I realised that Amazon Pay Credit card will credit the cashback as gift balance and I'm struggling to find out what I can do with that balance outside of anything amazon related.

Right now the Axis Airtel credit card is interesting to me but I'm again hesitating to go for it because I'm not sure how the cashback there works whether I can get the cashback or its stuck as points. Tried applying for SBI Cashback but they said that its internal policy problem and I'm trying to ask SBI about it. Still no response.
Basically in case of SBI cashback card, the cashback is credited directly in 2-3 days of the statement generation. I presume same goes with Airtel axis and HSBC live plus (both in my bucket list for now).

Ex: if you get a cashback of 250 rupees in a clander month, once the statement gets generated, in 2-3 days, the amount gets reflected in either your current statement or the next statement (in SBI cashback, it gets added on to the next statement afaik).
So, your next months bill, assuming is 5000, you only have to.pay 5000-250=750. No reward points b.s, just pure cashback.

If you're looking for spends on big basket, zomato and swiggy along with cashback on utilities, go.for airtel axis (HSBC live plus offers same benifits, but airtel axis already has these). On the other hand, if your grocery and dining spends are mostly offline, hsbc live plus is a great card to have.

So final thoughs, have the following cards

Sbi cashback: 5% cashback on all online spends(but you won't get to use this card for 10% cashback during sale discounts , you have to have any other sbi core card for this)
Airtel axis: utilities swiggy zomato big basket
Hsbc live plus: for offline grocery and dining.

I think.these cards will cover all the basic needs for annual spends of 2 lakh or.around that.

But if you are a traveller and prefer airmiles or Accor redemption, go for the below

Hope this helps.

I think you can use your gift balance (amazon pay balance) for recharges , train bookings, metro recharge, insurance and utility bill.payments from amazon pay

Apay icici is good card to.hold, but pretty much confined to amazon ecosystem. On others, the returns are not that good. Good to keep for LTF and spends when you have maxed out cashback on other cards.

BTW, did you apply for apay icici based on existing icici core card or just based on pre approved offer? Mine got rejected since I had too many cibil enquiries lately (thanks to Icici and axis agents), 4 enquiries wasted

Ok so I got three credit cards. Amazon Pay, ICICI Coral Rupay and Jupiter CSB Edge Credit cards.

I'm not happy with this ICICI Coral Rupay credit card as the rewards neither show up on the imobile nor can I see the redeem page and ICICI themselves can't seem to fix this issue. So I'm planning to surrender this card and get another Rupay card.

On top of my head there is Kiwi and this Yes Bank Ace. I tried applying for Kiwi but they said that they don't have any offers for me and I can't seem to get it so I deleted my Kiwi Account. Looks like this Yes Bank Ace from Kredit.Pe seems to be the only one.

Is the card good value? Its LTF at the moment so need some opinions here. If not, then what's the other options?
if you wish for yes bank you can try Yes bank Rio Card ltf and rewards Structure is well

Correction: it's 5000-250=4750*

Hdfc pixel card can be a good option for you.

Yes bank ace card is good but you can't get the cashback in statement. You need to use the cb rewards to buy vouchers with discount. For example, if you purchase 500 rupees Amazon voucher, you can only use 20 to 30 rupees from cb rewards, and you need the pay the remaining 480 rupees from your bank account. If it's okay with you then go ahead with ace card
Yes bank has had biggest devaluation recently. I heard that the RP value dropped from 0.25 p to 0.15 paisa, even on its flagship reserve card. Yes Bank is nor to be trusted.

Yeah I'll think about getting the Airtel Axis someday. Right now since I got Amazon Pay, Jupiter and Pixel cards, I'm waiting to see if these fit my needs. I can see Amazon Pay card being useful when it comes to a lot of things Amazon related.

I'll see how good this card ends up being. As for how I got it, Like you I couldn't get it at first because my Cibil Score wasn't good but after six months of waiting, I got the card after applying it again. As for whether I got an ICICI core or pre approved I'm not sure. I did get an ICICI Rupay card before I got the amazon card but I think after my Cibil score improved, my chances of getting the Amazon Pay card got higher, if you ask me.
