Will by next Axis card be approved?

I don't have any banking relationship with Axis bank

Applied for Axis Ace in August 2022 -> Approved ✅
Applied for Axis My zone in September -> Declined ❌
Applied again for Axis My zone in October -> Declined ❌
Applied for Axis Vistara Signature in November End -> Approved ✅
Applied for Axis Magnus in Feb first week, 2023 -> Approved ✅
Applied for Axis Samsung Infinite in April -> Declined ❌

Did anyone noticed any pattern here? I'm not able to understand why some of my cards are getting approved but some are not. I'm planning to close my Axis Ace card and apply again for Samsung Infinite just for edge reward points. Will it get approved? Or there's some 3 month/3 card max rule, but I applied Magnus 2.5 months after applying for Vistara signature and that got approved.

Should get approved unless you're having too many enquiries on your cibil. Keep track of that.

Space out your applications more than what you're doing

I keep my enquiries to once a month. Haven't noticed a drastic drop in CIBIL because of this yet
Only time my CIBIL has dropped is due to higher utilisation once or twice. But than increases by 15-20 points next month once utilise it back to normal

I don't know whether they entertain upgrade via customer care for samsung card. If they do, ask them to upgrade vistara card to samsung card. Do not tell them to upgrade from Magnus to Samsung. Cc rept might mess up and your magnus will get downgraded. Upgrading from vistara won't mess up as they are different reward structure card.

Samsung cards are not upgradable by Phonebanking route
Already tried and tested. Co branded cards except flipkart are not given on call.

Thought so. Maybe due to the 30k rp at 5:4.

Yes closing is the only way out unless you have some good connections to get approval for 4th card.
There is a new update for samsung cards from April ig, they are allowed to be applied on C2C.

That means you can apply via agent and get limit matched of your highest card.

Upgrading vistara (if it existed for samsung) won't close vistara.

You need to close one card to try this though.

Even if I’ve connection and an agent completed my KYC. The final call will be decided by the bank right? They’ll see that I already have 3 cards and reject my application

No, prior approval means asking permission for applying 4th card.
It has been done by many in this forum like @anirban.choudhury @TechnoFino
Some have got 4 cards without approval also but that is luck based.

Got it! I don’t think it’ll be easy for me as I don’t have any banking relationship with Axis bank. But anyway I hardly use Ace card now so it’s not a problem to me if it’s closed
