Yes Bank Reserv + 3X Subscription Plan

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a new card to complement my Infinia. The main goal is to increase the rewards rate for a few lakhs of donations towards NGOs (both Indian and International). BOGO on movies, and rewards on rental and UPI transactions will be great to have but not necessary.

I recently came across the YES Reserv card, along with the 3X subscription offer for all spends. The following is how I see the reward rates:
  • 9% Points on Online Shopping (except on Select categories)**
  • 4.5% Points on Offline Shopping (except on Select categories)
  • 2.25% Points on Select categories
Assuming 25 paise per RP redemption rate, for flights and hotels.

The 9% rewards rate seems just too good to be true. Can anyone confirm? If it is indeed true, then why is this not the most talked about card for Forex transactions?

P.S: I don't mind paying the annual fee given the rewards.

Received for FE or Reserv, so they won't leave below cards for sure. Not sure about Private and Marquee.
Touchwood… I haven’t received any spend based lounge access email for my marquee card.. got my marquee in the third week of Dec 2023..

However I got this wallet, utility devaluation email just now

If there is a spend based lounge access for Marquee, then it's a major devaluation and nobody will apply

Spend base Lounge access does not mention any specific Yes card, so it should apply for all Yes cards
According to your above statement, all yes cards including yes private have spend based criteria for lounge access..

Then again why the below statement from you?? You do this all the time , giving contradictory statements..

Is there is a spend based lounge access for Marquee, then it's a major devaluation and nobody will apply

You have some great calculations from your side..
but then again very vague and confusing statements all the time . I (we) don’t understand what you were trying to say majority of the times…

It is not contradictory.
I meant if all Yes cards have spend based lounge access then it would include Marquee, which would be a major devaluation (especially) for Marquee

Can someone explain me the base point structure for online spends and the calculation on how we can subscribe and get 3x points ??
Refer to this thread:

For 3x subscription Rs.4130 pa --
Online (base 1.5 x 3) + 1.5 = 6%
Offline (base 1.5 x 3) = 4.5%
Select MCCs (base 0.75 x 3) = 2.25%
Thanks but can u elaborate what is this 1.5 is ? Can u share in terms of points conversion, B) what’s the upper cap per month we can earn, c) if we want to redeem what flight and hotel do we get ? Do we get like Taj, Marriott of the world or what is it ?

For online spends you will get 6% return in terms of points if you use the points for booking flights.
For online spends you will get 2.4--3.6% return in terms of points if you use the points for buying vouchers.

For offline spends you will get 4.5% return in terms of points if you use the points for booking flights.
For offline spends you will get 1.8--2.7% return in terms of points if you use the points for buying vouchers.

For select MCC spends you will get 2.25% return in terms of points if you use the points for booking flights.
For select MCC spends you will get 0.90--1.35% return in terms of points if you use the points for buying vouchers.

You can get higher return on spends using Infinia, Atlas and Magnus Burgundy

DCC for Reserv is 1% basis recent communication from Yes bank.
Is it advisable for overseas spends?

When you purchasing in a foreign registered shop in India, or foreign website showing prices in rupee there,

If you pay in $ or other than rupee currency - no DCC but there you'll be chrged mark-up fee which is 1% for Marque, 1.75% for Reserv. Good one deduct online rewards from it, rest is your benefit.

If you pay in ₹ then DCC 1% applicable. Still good one, deduct online rewards from it, which is your benefit.

Local shops and within India companies no such charges.

FYI: Its same for all banks, nothing specific to YES. AXIS, HDFC etc. already doing that.

Ex: Stream, Microsft store etc. in local ₹ prices atracts DCC. If you purchase amazon.com or same websites in $ then mark-up fee applicable.

NOte: How do we know whether it is foreign registered company or local? No one knows, basically test transaction willl say based on DCC or Mark-up you can conclude in 3 days.

How do we know whether it is foreign registered company or local? -> Simply turn off international transaction. If it fails, u need to turn it on and then DCC will be charged. If it goes through, no DCC.
