Yes Bank Reserv + 3X Subscription Plan

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a new card to complement my Infinia. The main goal is to increase the rewards rate for a few lakhs of donations towards NGOs (both Indian and International). BOGO on movies, and rewards on rental and UPI transactions will be great to have but not necessary.

I recently came across the YES Reserv card, along with the 3X subscription offer for all spends. The following is how I see the reward rates:
  • 9% Points on Online Shopping (except on Select categories)**
  • 4.5% Points on Offline Shopping (except on Select categories)
  • 2.25% Points on Select categories
Assuming 25 paise per RP redemption rate, for flights and hotels.

The 9% rewards rate seems just too good to be true. Can anyone confirm? If it is indeed true, then why is this not the most talked about card for Forex transactions?

P.S: I don't mind paying the annual fee given the rewards.

For the merchant "Parviom Technologies P Gurgaon," you will earn 6 points for every 200 spent (as I received last month). Purchasing a gift card will also fall under the same category if the merchant name matches.
As the select categories are changed we may get 5x for park+. Have to confirm with statement . Customer care is useless.

I have taken this card in February and applied for the subscription plan for 3x rewards.
I checked my statement and I realized that the reward points are not at 9%. So I tried to see transaction wise points but I could not find it.
Then I went to the Rewards subscription page.

I believe they have changed the terms and conditions without updating the user because now it has an asterisk that says Yes Rewardz Points mean reward points on offline or select category spending.
I am sure this is done at backhand without updating any user because I had checked multiple times while applying for the card as 9% flat online rate sounds too good even if you have to pay 3500 a year.

There are two things to note here.
1. they have separately defined rewardz points in subscription page as the points only for offline or addition category which is wrong because you cant have two definitions for the same loyalty currency.
2. They have used the same nomenclature even for online spends on their card scheme document.
Can anyone else also check if the same has happened. Thanks.

Don't worry about calculating points.
Yes Rewards 3x returns --

If you use the points to buy air tickets, the points are worth 25 paisa and the returns are 6% for online, 4.5% for offline, 2.25% for select categories.

If you use the points to buy Amazon pay vouchers, the points are worth 10 paisa and the returns are 2.4% for online and 1.8% for offline, 0.9% for select categories.

If you convert the points to airmiles, the points are worth 6 paisa, the returns are still lower, not even worth mentioning

All these returns are without considering or including the subscription fee 4130 expense

I was wondering about this for sometime..
How come Reserv would give more returns than Marquee… especially Reserv in some cases was given as LTF….

So. It seems Marquee is the only card worth to possess from YES bank portfolio::

I am getting 36 rewards for 200 spends for online transactions on my Marquee../

They changed the calc in December. Read the following summary. Else go through this thread.

With subscription, Reserv fetches 48 points/Rs 200 online and 36 points / Rs. 200 offline excluding select categories

Only 5x plan gives 9% returns on select categories

Reserv with 3x is better than marquee. At 5x it is way better.

Reserv rates -
1x rates - 3/1.5/0.75% on online/offline/select categories.
3x rates - 6/4.5/2.25% on online/offline/select categories.
5x rates - 9/7.5 on online/offline Travel, Dining, Fashion, Healthcare categories.

Marquee 1x rates - 4.5/2.25/1.25% on online/offline/select categories.

Are you guys actually getting them as per this calculations?
I have read somewhere they are not getting properly..

Another thing is:
For some vouchers marquee has better redemption rates than reserv

Absolutely spot on but Marquee is a good deal considering it gives unlimited airport Lounge access both domestic and international and the joining fee is more than adequately reimbursed with 60000 points worth 15000.

However , some TF members said that they have not received the 60000 points even after paying the joining fee and even after the 1st statement generation.

4.5% return on online spends is almost the same as the famous & popular SBI cashback.
Except that SBI cashback gives real cash as statement credit
