There is First Private afaik...

Private cards are always exclusive to the bank, whether it's IDFC, YES, ICICI, AXIS, or others. These cards aren't meant for the general public; they’re reserved for clients who bring substantial business, often with investments or deposits in the crores range. They’re not considered the bank's MVP card, IMO. These cards I belive generally issued to limited people and doesn't effect bank much.

Below the private cards is typically each bank’s top-tier public card, which customers can aspire to with some effort or adjustments. These high-end cards are major revenue drivers, designed to be flexible to meet both customer demands and the bank’s financial goals. Given this, I assume that Marquee card is currently their key revenue card, aimed at attracting a broad user base. It’s a card they need to keep appealing to avoid backlash by satisfying their users.

Yes all are showing 0.15 value today

So finally all gvs are at 15p/rp including kalyan /reliance jewels etc? I have applied recently. If that's the case , I won't activate the cc.

BM was asking me to take private instead. But I am not interested in paying such high fees in such a moody bank. Does yes gives at discounted rate like indusind?

@TechnoFino @simal
Is reward redemption catalogue of yes private same as marquee? The pdf sent by cc pm says 25p/rp.
TIA

Mostly and keep the card only, "If you're ok to redeem points at 0.25p with some limit on redemption for flights/hotels revenue booking". Otherwise, you'll be at disappointment with current changes. Applicable for Reserv / Marquee / Private.

0.25p for flight/hotel will be there all the time, no issues with that.

Simple, if you are finding it difficult to justify in holding Marquee then I think you don't need to consider thinking about Private.
I believe in general. for Private the limits are bit bigger than Marquee..that's it. Predominantly reward rates are.similar between these two.( not a private holder, for actuals need to confirm with a private holder) ..
How I see Marquee now:
Redeem only for flights.
I will hold it as long as
1)flights reward rate is same ie @0.25
2) lounge access available for add-ons and free guest access available
3) generous BMS offer available..

My god.... it's brutal.... My Yes Private 🥹🥹
For Kalyan/Flipkart and few other GVs, it's 1 RP = Rs. 0.67
Dada when did you check it last?
Is it still 0.67 for kalyan? Today Cc PM said 25p/rp . He was sure about flight but didn't confirm which all gv give 0.25.
He said 2L rp & 9k Oberoi gv against jf. If 0.67rs for kalyan then it would be great deal. 🤣😅

intermiles is also not there , by figuring out I meant way to transfer Yes rewards to Accor points like we transfer axis points to itc and then to marriott as there is no direct conversion.

no, such way for accor.. and in YES no transfer partners, so ignore for this bank. AXIS has high transfer partners even compared to HDFC. Moreover, other than these two banks, none of the Indian banks support transfer parner except itc/vistara.
