Millennia HDFC Millennia RuPay Credit card Launch | 6% to 12% on Amazon, 5%% Flipkart, Myntra, Sony LIV, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ, Uber, Zomato, BookMyShow, Cult.fit:

So should I still purchase normal item from Amazon even if the merchant is ASSPL and later they're crediting the 5% cashback manually after reviewing it?

I tried card payment with rupay millennia and getting ASSPL everytime for normal electronics purchase

Someone please confirm, I am also getting ASSPL merchant everytime I am trying to buy something from Amazon.
Did anyone get reward points on Asspl previous month?
ASSPL fetched only 1% for last month.

I have escalated this matter to Customer Service. My 50 reward points are missing.
This is a serious issue, and it has compromised the entire purpose of Millennia on Amazon.

Below is an email template that provides a detailed explanation of the situation. If anyone wishes to contact Customer Service, they can use or adapt this template:

Dear HDFC Bank Team,
I am writing to bring to your attention an issue regarding incorrect calculation of reward points on my HDFC Millennia Credit Card(XXXX) for transactions made in the previous calendar month.

I had made total transactions amounting to ₹12,919.50 during the last calendar month of September. From these, I have received 596 reward points (5%) for ₹11,919.50, which seems correct. However, on a ₹1,000 transaction made on Amazon, I have not received any reward points till now.

For your reference, this transaction was made on Amazon (merchant name: ASSPL – Amazon Seller Services Pvt. Ltd.). Surprisingly , your system currently excluded this merchant from 5% reward point eligibility. However, according to the Millennia Credit Card terms and conditions, transactions made on Amazon are eligible for 5% cashback/reward points.

Please note that the merchant code (MCC) assigned by Amazon should not be used as an excuse to deny the cashback, as Amazon is typically routing its transactions through ASSPL for most purchases such as electronics, fashion, stationary and various categories. It appears to be a system-level issue on your end that is preventing proper reward calculation on eligible transactions specially on the Rupay variant of Millennia Credit card

Due to this recurring issue, I am hesitant to use my RuPay Millennia Card for future Amazon purchases. The core benefit of 5% cashback—which is the main reason customers choose this card—is being compromised.

I request you to:
1. Credit the correct reward points (5% on ₹1,000) for my eligible Amazon transaction.
2. Investigate and resolve this system issue so that future transactions for all Millennia users are not affected.
3. If possible, please provide me with a detailed cashback/reward calculation (in Excel format) for previous months to verify the accuracy of credited points.

Please review this issue carefully and avoid sending a generic or template response. I expect a detailed clarification and a resolution at the earliest. Otherwise, I will be compelled to escalate the matter to higher authorities for appropriate action.

Looking forward to your prompt response and resolution.

Best regards,

Thank you, bro — you’ve drafted a great email that clearly explains the issue. I think I should escalate this on Twitter (X) so that HDFC takes notice and resolves it quickly.

I’ve made purchases worth around ₹12,500 on Amazon (including a Bluetooth mouse, water pressure pump, plant shelf, etc.), still got ASSPL merchant name, and I am sure if we don't complain they will not give correct reward points.

This is a serious issue with the RuPay Millennia Card. If HDFC doesn’t fix it soon, there will be no Rupay Millennia after 1/2 months Honestly, if the issue continues , I’ll probably switch my Card

The funny part is — last month, people were complaining about not getting 5% cashback on eligible merchants when paying via UPI using the RuPay Millennia card.

Now that issue seems to be fixed, but ironically, direct card transactions are no longer earning reward points🥲

Rewards on RuPay txns are like tossing a rupee coin, if heads rewards on upi else on card, not both.

Hey, not all ASSPL transactions are excluded.

ASSPL appears in every Amazon transaction category but the MCC code and transaction ID are different.

One person even said that he received 5% cashback on an ASSPL transaction.

Anyway, file a complaint — HDFC Bank will fix this too. Just like they fixed the UPI transaction 5% cashback issue.

@Das.N Yeah, go ahead and do it — if everyone complains, it’ll get fixed faster.

For this exact reason I haven't switched from visa to rupay. Will wait till all the dust settles.
Don’t post such comments — if everyone keeps relying on each other, nothing will get fixed quickly (An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind).

It’s been 10 months since the Airtel Axis RuPay Credit Card was fully launched but just last month, someone paid a utility bill via UPI for the first time. After raising a complaint with PNO, he received the 10% cashback.

That’s because no one had tried paying through UPI before — everyone was depending on others to try first.

If more people start trying it, Axis will automatically update their system to give 10% cashback automatically on UPI transactions.

For example, with the Airtel Axis RuPay Credit Card, 10% cashback on Swiggy via UPI is already being credited automatically. So, the same will eventually happen for utility payments too — the more people transact, the sooner Axis will update it.

Now, it’s the same case with HDFC Bank too.

Oh then we can bypass the convience charges are well.

Newly launched SBI Flipkart Visa/Master credit card is currently giving 1% cashback on many flipkart transactions — that’s just because it’s a new card.

some guy was saying that’s why one should get the Axis Flipkart card instead, claiming SBI cards are useless and all that.

But that’s not true. In a few weeks or months, SBI’s systems will update all the data and the 5% cashback will be applied. Those who didn’t get it earlier will also receive their 5% cashback. Simple.

Mujhe bhi nahi karna chahiye tha Rupay mei convert.
Mere thread ke har 4-5 reply ke baad comment aa jata tha, IF POSSIBLE TRY TO PICKUP RUPAY VARIENT OF MILLEENNIA.

Mujhe laga rupay variant aacha hota hai MASTERCARD se toh maine bina soche Card network mastercard se Rupay mei convert karwa liya.
Abhi bohot pareshani hoti hai . Esh baar bhi HDFC ko email Kiya hai detailed cashbback statement vejne ko 1% category mei kuch cashback Missing hai 😔
