What's your credit card(s) bill generation date? Is it random?

Is it possible to have a bill generation date of our own choice? If yes, then can we do it with every bank? I was thinking to have a common date on all of my cards so that I could know when I have to pay plus how much my total credit card expenses are going.

yes it definitely makes sense to have a common date for all the cards. as per the rbi rule there should be an option to change the cycle date one time but dont see the option in hdfc netbanking yet.

That RBI guideline is to be implemented from July 1st. If we don't see it by the first week of July, we should complain.

I am holding ICICI Card. ICICI allows you to change bill generation date. Once you have changed bill date, there is 6 months cooling period for next change.

Same, waiting for it. I am thinking of setting it on 20th of every month, so that the bill due date is 5th or 10th of the next month.

I think the credit card companies will provide more than once options.

I Mentioned 1 - 15 - 30… And It’s The Best Combination Because Then I Can Use The Card According To The Billing Cycle.

yes, minimum once, (maximum number depends on bank)

I always try to change bill generation date to end of the month, as maximum bank report your card data to credit reporting agencies on month end. So I can keep utilisation ratio low by paying before bill generation.

Depends on your end goal. If u want to have longer interest free periods of credit, have ur bill dates spread across.
For example, if u have a HDFC bill that gets generated on 15th of the month and u need to purchase something on the 10th, u get a short interest free period. If u have say another bank which has a bill generation on the 30th of the month, u can rather do ur 10th purchase on the other card instead of hdfc.

Or follow the end of the month across cards to follow the bank reporting standard.

I contacted BOB for the billing cycle change. But they said, they are not providing such option now.

rbi rule doesnt says that , fir se ban lagega hdfc pe nhi toh
