Need clarity on SBI cashback

Hi All,

I have a big amount to pay to the travel agent for one of my upcoming trip.
I am planning to use SBI cashback card till i max out cashback for month.
Will i get 5 % cashback if i pay to them online through payment gateway.

that depends on the mcc of the site where u are paying. try paying a small amount to check whether you are getting the cb or not. if you get cb then go ahead with the actual planned transaction

All I can say is MCC 4112 isn't fetching any cashbacks. I booked bus tickets and recharged my metro cards. All those transactions were tagged to 4112 (Transit and travel) and I didn't get any cashback.

As mentioned by members earlier, all depends on travel agent gateway and MCC code, so token transaction to check viability of 5% makes sense.
Cashback card is like a googly these days. Need to patiently wait to see the cashback result till transaction settles down.
