First try negotiating with your branch wealth RM. Tell him that you'll deposit the amount and he should initiate the upgradation process at the same time or after 1-2 weeks. Max 1 month. Most probably he'll agree upon your request.

Ya if Brach already reached there target than they don't care but if it is a new branch than story is different.

You've to keep 10L for 2 weeks for Wealth upgrade. 5L is for Select Account.

Upgrade is automatic or we need to contact RM ?

Kotak 811 is the option but only 30k per month. Also sometimes idfc didn't give points on kotak load

Now they stop giving reward points on Kotak 811

Once upgraded nothing needs to be maintained.

Moreover requirement varies branch to branch even in same city.

Mostly I've heard the same from every other person who tried for IDFC Wealth/select.
They've straight forward policy of 5L & 10L initial deposit to initiate upgradation process.

However few people got at lower amount during March ending. Otherwise they're all same.
