No, you can't. Older one will get deactivated once you start using new one.

If you have a salary account and reimbursement account, you can have two debit cards (both active at the same time).

I have both type of account with hdfc, salary and reimbursement account. Is there any advantage on getting a second debit card?

No hdfc doesn't offer 2 debit cards.

if you are a sole holder, you can't but if your account has joint holder then secondary holder can hold another debit card on same account.

However the login and customer id is the same for both accounts.

You can add your wife/mother/father as second holder and they will issue new debit card. They will also issue new user id.

Oh, interesting. But then again, the account balance would be shared with them right?

yes, balances are shared. points for debit card are tracked separately. Lets say i login with with my id, i wont be able to see other account holders debit card and points.

Oh okay, that's kinda good, but counterproductive for my use. I'd rather have my parents open a separate account than share mine 🙈
