Network Travels, Guwahati. They have their own buses too across many places in WB, Assam and rest of NE India. They are a cab-provider too.

@bhavyegoel : Thanks for this suggestion, I had initially thought of this option - but then restrained as the places/roads will be new with no idea on regulations (like permits required for some places, or so). Is this option recommended for someone visiting Meghalaya for the first time?

Nothing to be worried that much it's pretty simple... just need some good driving skill and most importantly patience because in Assam traffic is terrible...haha..

How is weather like there during that period of the year??

Chances are it will be rainy... Not too much..but decent amount... I would say weather is suitable...

thank you . initially we were planning for June 1st week... but then thought it may be too hot... so postponed to July 1st week..

Very nice. After Mata Dharshan (Maa Kamakhya Temple), do visit Bhimasankar Dham Jyotirlinga Temple. It is not mandatory, but you will like it.

And if you are a foodie, especially vegetarian, I can suggest a lot of good restaurants in Guwahati City.

sure , .. we are 15 people coming in a group and most of us eat veg food only ..
we need decent accomodation as well . 5 day visit. we perform homam as well...
all suggestions welcome ..

everything in planning stage ,
we fly from hyderabad
