Just saw this post on reddit, apparently cashback on hdfc debit cards have been stopped for Credit card Bill payment. View attachment 64453

But we can still get the cashback when we pay via JioPay , SBI Unipay, Canara Setu till their MCC is unchanged

Aise to millenia debit card me bhi mana kara hai ki nahi denge reward point for credit card bill payment. But still aa to jata hi hai. Baki let's see iss month payment aata hai ya nahi bhai.

I paid my HDFC bill through Jio Finance on 8th August and got the points on my platinum debit card on 9th August. It looks like Jio Finance still counts as a utility payment.

Jab tak unipay MCC change nehi karega tab tak hdfc pe 1% confirm hai. HDFC can't do anything in this case

They can... This is hdfc... They will just stop rewards in this mcc as well or stop giving rewards using merchant name

I had Millennia and Platinum cards for multiple years now but only used Cred for payment... Only started using HDFC Billpay last month >.>

So, is it confirmed that it doesn't give cashback any longer? Not inclined to use other portals. :/

Mai hamesa check karte raheta hu na, toh RuPay name pahele nahi likha hua karta tha.

Time to close SB MAX account ?

Last week, paid 13500/
to SBI Credit Card account thru HDFC's BILLPAY by selecting DC in their own App.

Till now for ALL such trxns (thru BillPay, thru DC, thru their own App), 1% CB was being given as Reward Points.

Now, they have stopped - it appears so. DELIBERATELY THEY ARE USING UNRELATED MCC CODES TO DENY 1% CB.

Time has come to close SB MAX account.

Which variant has less minimum balance
I look as an opportunity to release the 1.5l FD connected to the account to keep it zero balance and invest somewhere else
I considered monthly 750/- as a revenue for this 1.5l fd but no way to get it
