Which card should I take as LTF?

Hi all,

If I am being offered Coral RuPay & HPCL Coral (VIsa) as LTF (😥) which one should I take based on:
i) Can Coral RuPay be converted to Visa/Master as LTF? (While maintaining Coral RuPay)
ii) Does HPCL Coral support all promotional offers online/offline (co-branded card)
iii) Is there any difference in HPCL Coral & Coral (Visa/Master)
iv) Can either of the cards be upgraded to Rubyx/Sapphiro LTF (based on criteria) by mailing income docx?

--> I would prefer preapproved cards to avoid CIBIL hit, or if there is any other way to get these cards based on current CC w/o CIBIL hit, do let me know...

1 - No, it can't be converted but you maybe offered coral visa ltf after awhile(not sure how RBI's network portability might help out here)

2 - Yes, HPCL Coral supports all ICICI card discounts on platforms like Amazon, etc

3 - Nope, they're both base level useless cards from ICICI, only good for bank specific discounts

4 - to get premium cards from ICICI you need to either have some corporate tie up or fullfill some income criteria(there's a thread on it) or get it pre approved on app

Cibil enquiry with ICICI is a hit and miss thing,
For eg. I took a Pre approved Coral Rupay on my existing Coral Visa card mid last year, i still got a cibil hit from ICICI
However my friend to a Emerald PVC upgrade offer on app early this year, no cibil hit,
So, you never know

To be honest I'm quite skeptical on how network portability will workout,
i tried porting my RBL world safari visa to master, didn't work, but they gave me fee wavier for 2nd yr so i didn't complain,
Same when i tried Switch Onecard BOB Visa to Rupay, didn't work
Not sure what is the ccurrent status of this

As for salary criteria for LTF cards, talk to your RM or Branch people

Even going through X or escalation put you risk of cibil hit unless they specifically agree not to

Get Rubyx LTF if you can, it's still a useless card but why not
