Hello Guys,
How could i upgrade to PNB Rupay Select from PNB Rupay Platinum.

Few Clarifications needed!
1. Whether both cards will be in active status?
2. Any Limit Increase?
3. If Applied through PNB Genie, Income documents needed?
4. What are the major benefits as being in the higher Rupay Variant.

Please helpout.

1. no previous one will close/stop working. only 1 card active policy.
2. both have same floor limit. limit enhancement only upon separate request with docs (you will get a cibil enquiree too).
3. do by any method, it just places a request, you will be asked docs over email.
4. checkout their website and youtube comparison videos several are available OR even search this forum will fetch some information.

I just upgraded to select from pnb platinum cc , The most easy method is to do with pnb genie app . They generate a service request no which you have to use it to mail them along with your current itr . The only problem is their courier partner which in my case was delhivery. Got it delivered in 10 days after showing in the app. Probably the worst courier company in India.

What is the benefits to convert to Select card ?

Have you been charged with the joining fee?

it's been 2 statements and they have still not billed joining fee on my card. Looks like my select upgrade is completely free.

What was your limit while upgrading from platinum to select ?
I requested upgrade from platinum to select but my current limit is only 45k .
So i am not sure whether they will accept my request or not .

Maybe You will have to raise two requests one for limit enhancement and another for card upgrade, card upgrade will require ITR of last FY above 5 lakh Taxable Income I.e after all deduction and limit enhancement will require ITR of last two FYs and there will be a cibil hit too. I applied for both options too got limit enhancement from mere 40K to 50K and also approved for upgrade as floor is 50k for select unsecured cards as per their MITC.

Today i received a message that new card has been generated , but that message didn't mention anything about upgraded or rupay select .

You can check in PNB Genie app as there will a selection option enabled on card selection and you can also see that card in E-card section but takes upto 4 hrs to 24 hrs. And rest assured there will be no despatch notification till it will receive your nearest delhivery office then you will receive the message can take upto 10-14 days. You can activate it instantly but if you also use physical card, I will recommend to wait till you receive the physical card as old card will be deactivated on activation of this card.

Still showing only 1 card and it's old
Exact message template i received at 4:14pm
Dear Customer, We had received request for replacement of your card xxxx dt. 06-09-2024 and new card xxxx has been generated. - PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK

Sorry brother I haven't received any such msg regarding upgrade, all I received was service request number which was starting with "G" and numbers including dates when I raised upgrade request from PNB Genie app and also send same Ref. No. As Subject while sending self attested ITR and received another Service request Number starting with "E" and numbers as request for card change and next day my original request ID starting with "G" rejection message received due to not receipt of documents as per mail, but I checked PNB Genie app to see service request status and I saw that new service request no. With "E" That was received in mail is still open and it took 3 days to close and when it was closed I can see two cards in Genie app, that's all but haven't received any mail or msg about upgrade acception or rejection.

New card number started to showing in app , but unable to check variant in the app due to its still showing old card details only . I checked the new bin number in rupay website and confirmed it's rupay select card 😊😁.
