SBI Cashback card rejected

Hello Everyone,
I have a SBI simply Click card that I got in Oct 2023. I have recently applied for a SBI cashback card. The requested was rejected.

SBI has cited that it will not be able to issue another card.

Is it true that SBI does not issue two cards?

It will be easy to get the cashback card if you have a co-branded SBI card. Mine was also rejected because I have an SBI SimplySave Card.

In my family, one person has an SBI BPCL card, and their application was approved with a split limit basis via Sprint, and the card was generated instantly.

rejection may not be necessarily about already existing card, it can also be over exposed credit, get the actual reason in writing.

Even my application for the Cashback card was rejected. I had an old SBI card which was not used for a long time. Later realised they had made it inactive due to non usage for a long time. Tried to ask them to make it active but they declined so had to cancel it.

Anyone knows the name of this card?

This is wrong, I have 2 cards of SBI, one simple click and the other cashback, both have different limits.

Is it true that SBI does not issue two cards?

I've also heard that this is now a new policy from SBI Card. It looks like SBI Card is looking at all methods possible to stop issuing cards. Their market share in card numbers and spending have both been regularly falling and it looks like they are only trying to accelerate it. Is Musk running SBI Cards or what?
