Can see in pending/ scheduled payments now.
So can safely say that the Bill shows up in scheduled at least 12+ days before due date.
Bill will be paid on 24th, So 4/5 days in advance.

Where you are looking app or web netbanking i added indusind here on 11 march , today i can see bill generated in cred as 15 mar was statement date but no sms from hdfc bill found already smartpay enabled even no payments in scheduled section all things done on web only no hdfc app usage .

@Dobbiee how many days hdfc takes to trigger new statement amount i directly hit button pay now it showing bill amount available but no communication regards scheduled anyhow last date is 4 april .

Mine was ICICI Amazon Pay. It has been two weeks since I enabled SmartPay. Till date it hasn't appeared under Scheduled.

oh okay, so it doesn't seem to be biller specific. I already added my two ICICI cards to HDFC bill pay a year ago. According to the Op's instructions I deleted and added the biller again with smart pay enabled (bill was generated and payment scheduled). However, with regards to the SBI and Axis cards, those are new cards that are added for the very first time. For both of them although the bill was generated, they were not under scheduled payments tab. So i was left with no option but to pay it manually. However, when i tried to pay manually using HDFC BillPay, the system prompted a message that i would be able to pay only upto a maximum of 10000 in two hours interval. May be due to this restriction, the payment was not scheduled for autopay. The amount that i was paying for SBI and Axis bill was more than 10000. Maybe if it is under 10000 it would be scheduled under payment - Just my guess. If it is true, in your case the bill amount was greater than 10000, so there will be definitely a restriction for the first time payment. Whether you deleted the biller and added it again? Or did you add it as a new biller? Or whether you have added it long back but making the first payment? If we can find the missing piece of information, maybe we will be able decipher the puzzle.

Also, for the autopay, the amount is not withdrawn on the scheduled date, it is deducted the next morning between 6 to 6:30 AM.

p.s: I got the reward points day before yesterday for paying ICICI credit card bill, so it is still working

I am checking in app. But probably this will show up on NB web too.
Also you are saying your bill is generated on 15 March, check the dates I wrote for the bill to show up in scheduled. Not yet time.

Why did you ask me if the biller was added before or after bill generation? Does that make a difference?

We have seen several cases on this thread that if bill is already generated and then we add biller or enable smartpay, then bill is not always able to go under scheduled.

Though there have been some exceptional cases also where bill got scheduled also. But till now not been able to find how it works for some and doesn't works for some.

It normally shows up under scheduled within 2-3 working days.
Caution - if you have hit the button of pay now and a OTP is generated, then auto pay under smartpay enabled would stop. Also you would get an sms that autopay is stopped.

No worry I just pressed for check hdfc biller able to fetch my Indusind card bill or not it says new bill available next I not Proceed for any ac or debit card selection for safe side.


But till now no sms for hdfc new bill found etc.

No. With the Bharat Bill Pay method on HDFC platform, HDFC CC cannot be paid.

You can try paying HDFC CC bill with HDFC debit card via payzapp or any other 3rd party app. But not sure if any-where, rewards would be given.

AUBA......... Bill 99xxxxx of Rs. 8xx.35 scheduled for AutoPay via HDFC Bank SmartPay on Debit Card 0XXX.
Amt will be debited within 4 days before 02-Apr-2025

Have to wait for entire billing cycle.
On safer side Redo the exercise of re-adding biller, after bill due date is passed.

Always add a biller 1 week before bill generation date to have it for current statement. 🙂

I believe if you haven't paid single paisa in current statement standing instructions will work if you delete & re add biller but some people reported

1st time smartpay never work for test this please pay test amount it reaches to card or not by your dc in this case your current statement bill not fullfill or bbps won't allow to auto pay .

For safe side kindly pay before statement generation rest you pay by smartpay mode if it fails anyhow just before 4 days due date then you need backup for immediately settlement in this 3 party apps mostly fails use bank apps to process.
