Merchant name aajkal kuch bhi laga dete hai.. mcc matters.. do one thing, contact Axis on X and share reference number of that transaction and ask for its mcc.. you said its categorized under 'gifts' section.. that's why you should clarify with customer care.. 'gifts' is subcategory? or main category? if its subcategory under main category 'shopping' then it should work for 5% weekend offer..

Axis has anywhere branch policy, so any specific reason for changing branch? You can request any nearby branch for account variant change.

Thanks 👍, The person wants to change it to easy access for lower MAB and change of work location so, it would be difficult for him to keep 25k balance on regular basis, any other option you can suggest (like saving max 0mab if 1.5 FD) ?
