Actually i had amex cards as ltf in 2017 under employer tie up and further closed due to merchants not accepting issues and when re applied I think amex considers that long relationship but not sure

I first got Legend as LTF and within couple of days got an upgrade or degrade request for Eazydiner (god knows). I just clicked the mail and was sent this card in 2 days.

True that the prime restaurants and additional pay by this card is totally worth it.

Hahahahha bro you have put doubts in my mind now. Although I remember checking it with customer care. But now I will wait for the monthly statement.

I just checked my last month statement. There's no fee in there.

if your usage is decent and card is old enough, you could call and ask them for LTF conversion, threaten them for card closure.
mine was converted to LTF with same method
but yes, 30k is easy to spend ...

Spoke to Citi Customer Care they didn't agree to make it LTF, rather they credited 1k extra back to my Credit card as a goodwill gesture being with them since 2016.
I have already Spent 30k so Until Dec 2023 no need to worry about they said. Next year same time may be will call and say same words again. LOL.

Last week I called to close my Paytm Citi and they gave me 1000 bucks awell.
