Got it. Was unable to see SmartPay Enabled on my HSBC card so got confused. Tried with ICICI and that worked!
From what I understand, the claim of the post is that paying the CC Bill for a SmartPay enabled CC should still give 1% cashback on the easyshop platinum, right?

Though some people have said that it doesn't work on new design cards. But this is yet to be verified by someone who holds the new design card.

I am trying it for quite some time. Now it is generated. But before generation also it didn’t work for me. Any specific order or steps to be followed.?

Not sure where its being missed out.
Is your mobile number registered on HDFC account and the other bank credit card same?

Just delete the other bank CC biller and re-initiate the steps.

1. Register on HDFC mobile app by clicking 'add biller'.
2. Select biller type 'Credit Card'.
3. Enter Biller information - Select bank to which your credit card belongs to.
4. Enter your mobile number and last 4 digits of the CC number. And...

Guys anyone here able to succeed with limited amount scheduled for auto pay by using option (not more than). I have put amount 49k for one of my bill instead of full payment as orignal bill is above 1L & remaining 26k used for other bills which are already showing in scheduled pay. For this 49k It is yet to generate bill but I am expecting in next 4-5 days. It might come under scheduled pay but unsure if we are getting CB from it. Please confirm.

Ohh I see.. You are getting this option coz you trying to add the biller through the app.
I was trying to add through net banking.. There is no such option. Just a field to enter the max amount.

2 points:

1. If the CC biller is already registered, before bill generation, then only it would get scheduled for auto-pay.
2. The bill would get scheduled within 2-3 working days of bill generation.

Is the payment showing in scheduled or is it not getting scheduled?
If its showing in scheduled, then payment would happen tomorrow morning.

If its not showing in scheduled then dont expect payment to happen.
Process payment with other method.
In this case delete the biller. And create a new biller 7-10 days before bill generation date.

To be precise (as per the note in the email regarding SmartPay "schedule")... "The bill will be paid on next working date from scheduled date"

Usually, the amount is deducted around 6am and the bill will be paid around 9am (on the following working day).

I got SMS after bill generation that it is scheduled for autopay via HDFC bank smartbuy. Amount will be debited within 4 days before 30-March. What happens if amount is not debited tomorrow? Shall I pay bill amount on 29th March from other sources?

Auto pay works on full amount.
Dont think payment would happen on auto mode now.

Incase you are willing to take risk of the reward points and experiment - make a manual payment tomorrow of full amount using the Bill Pay app.
I did a manual payment in Feb 25 just a day before auto-pay would have triggered. And got reward points.
But my bill was showing in scheduled.

Incase you have another payment mode which gives you rewards, then ignore above.

Brother, first of all thank you for this thread. And, new design card is not just a new design, it's a different card altogether.

"EasyShop Platinum Debit Card" and "Platinum Debit Card" are two completely different cards unrelated to each other, other than having the name "Platinum".

1% cashback isn’t there in Platinum DC.
