Vacation are for breaking rules and challenging the limits -- but if you are still willing to remain in the straight jacket of rules set by a commercial agency, mostly for their own benefits, then go ahead and invest your money for a Time Share.
As I said repeatedly, it is not for everyone. I tried to give a clear picture. Pointed out the pros and cons, not sure why some people have so much problem with me being happy- Jealous?? You want to break rules, go break it. Am I stopping you or or am I asking you to join CM? What is your problem? Why do you think you can tell me what I should do?

Lol we have one person trying to defend it to the depths and say that its not for everyone. Well i sort of agree its not everyone. In a timeshare, there will always be losers and gainers. Most places have a peak season and off season. Losers will have to stay in off season. Ultimately club mahindra wins XD. If you dont want to lose in some of your vacation and win on others its better to stay away and have more freedom and flexibility.
If you are smart and plan in advance you will always be a winner. CM wins - very true, they are a profit making organization who has to answer to their shareholders. They are not doing charity. If you want to stay away you are most welcome my friend. I never asked anyone to join. I only posted my honest and true experience. People who give negative reviews, ask them to give a detailed review and share the issues they faced, not generic but actual ones and you will know. Just like one of our friends posted that he wants to holiday in his own terms - you might say it is a fair ask but then it is against the rules of the game which you were made aware before you bought the membership - my simple question why then did you buy it?

For those who bought with full information, it was an informed choice. But problem is, most people did not make an informed choice.

I first attended CM sales pitch almost 2 decades back, in 2006. Those days they used to give “lucky draw coupons” at various malls in NOIDA, basically to get the contact details of the people. Then they would call claiming that you have won a prize and to collect it, you need to visit their center, will spouse (insisted and repeated multiple times). At the center, there would be a large number of segments, each with a small table, with loud music blaring in the background to distort concentration and logical reasoning of the visitors. The sales person particularly targeted the female companion, painting all sorts of rosy pictures while only giving semi truths and half truths about the so called “rules” or “restrictions”. The pitch would continue in a loop for a considerable time till the persons are mentally exhausted. Then they would come up with a “once in a life time” offer, written in a slip of paper and would insist on signing up then and there, without giving them any time to properly think before making the decision. If this plan fails then they would try to emotionally pressurize, particularly targeting the lady of the family. Definitely not a clean, over the board way of doing business. In the end, I refused and walked away, as I could make out some of the “restrictions” in built, despite all their attempts to smokescreen them. But yes, we did get a 2 night stay voucher for one of their property, which upon visit, I found to be not so value for money, given the charges for food and amenities that we had to pay, vis a vis the services offered.

We, again visited their center at Kolkata sometime in 2010, this time as my wife insisted on going “just for fun”. I found their tactics to have become more brazen, with even more pressure tactics and emotional blackmailing. But wife came back with a complementary dinner set.

So OP must have been lucky to have been fully explained all the rules and regulations and restrictions to make a wise, informed, well considered choice and he has been able to get the maximum benefit out of his investment. Good for him. But my personal experience indicates that most people are deliberately misled into signing up, without giving them the full details.

This means they didn't get any success...shows who are the crooks
Dude, either you genuinely don't understand how slow consumer forum works or you knowingly acting ignorant.

You are acting as I personally called you crook. Why are you taking it personally? I talked about the company & shared my experience. In my first post in this thread,I mentioned some people may have positive experience too.

Unless you are doing their paid or free promotion here, you shouldn't take it personally. There will always be 2 sides of coins.

So whatever I have witnessed by seeing my friends, I will always say Club Mahindra is run by crooks.

And about the consumer forum, Their cases are still going on. Once the decision is out, I will update here.
