12 Years, 49 Holidays, and a Lifetime of Memories with Club Mahindra ❤️🌍

Vacation are for breaking rules and challenging the limits -- but if you are still willing to remain in the straight jacket of rules set by a commercial agency, mostly for their own benefits, then go ahead and invest your money for a Time Share.
As I said repeatedly, it is not for everyone. I tried to give a clear picture. Pointed out the pros and cons, not sure why some people have so much problem with me being happy- Jealous?? You want to break rules, go break it. Am I stopping you or or am I asking you to join CM? What is your problem? Why do you think you can tell me what I should do?

Lol we have one person trying to defend it to the depths and say that its not for everyone. Well i sort of agree its not everyone. In a timeshare, there will always be losers and gainers. Most places have a peak season and off season. Losers will have to stay in off season. Ultimately club mahindra wins XD. If you dont want to lose in some of your vacation and win on others its better to stay away and have more freedom and flexibility.
If you are smart and plan in advance you will always be a winner. CM wins - very true, they are a profit making organization who has to answer to their shareholders. They are not doing charity. If you want to stay away you are most welcome my friend. I never asked anyone to join. I only posted my honest and true experience. People who give negative reviews, ask them to give a detailed review and share the issues they faced, not generic but actual ones and you will know. Just like one of our friends posted that he wants to holiday in his own terms - you might say it is a fair ask but then it is against the rules of the game which you were made aware before you bought the membership - my simple question why then did you buy it?

For those who bought with full information, it was an informed choice. But problem is, most people did not make an informed choice.

I first attended CM sales pitch almost 2 decades back, in 2006. Those days they used to give “lucky draw coupons” at various malls in NOIDA, basically to get the contact details of the people. Then they would call claiming that you have won a prize and to collect it, you need to visit their center, will spouse (insisted and repeated multiple times). At the center, there would be a large number of segments, each with a small table, with loud music blaring in the background to distort concentration and logical reasoning of the visitors. The sales person particularly targeted the female companion, painting all sorts of rosy pictures while only giving semi truths and half truths about the so called “rules” or “restrictions”. The pitch would continue in a loop for a considerable time till the persons are mentally exhausted. Then they would come up with a “once in a life time” offer, written in a slip of paper and would insist on signing up then and there, without giving them any time to properly think before making the decision. If this plan fails then they would try to emotionally pressurize, particularly targeting the lady of the family. Definitely not a clean, over the board way of doing business. In the end, I refused and walked away, as I could make out some of the “restrictions” in built, despite all their attempts to smokescreen them. But yes, we did get a 2 night stay voucher for one of their property, which upon visit, I found to be not so value for money, given the charges for food and amenities that we had to pay, vis a vis the services offered.

We, again visited their center at Kolkata sometime in 2010, this time as my wife insisted on going “just for fun”. I found their tactics to have become more brazen, with even more pressure tactics and emotional blackmailing. But wife came back with a complementary dinner set.

So OP must have been lucky to have been fully explained all the rules and regulations and restrictions to make a wise, informed, well considered choice and he has been able to get the maximum benefit out of his investment. Good for him. But my personal experience indicates that most people are deliberately misled into signing up, without giving them the full details.

This means they didn't get any success...shows who are the crooks
Dude, either you genuinely don't understand how slow consumer forum works or you knowingly acting ignorant.

You are acting as I personally called you crook. Why are you taking it personally? I talked about the company & shared my experience. In my first post in this thread,I mentioned some people may have positive experience too.

Unless you are doing their paid or free promotion here, you shouldn't take it personally. There will always be 2 sides of coins.

So whatever I have witnessed by seeing my friends, I will always say Club Mahindra is run by crooks.

And about the consumer forum, Their cases are still going on. Once the decision is out, I will update here.

This point is well highlighted in my post

I believe this is still the practice.

We are all aware that sales people are not always honest and will go to any length to get their sales commission, again well highlighted in my post. I know my post is long, but please read it completely and you will realize it is not a promotion but my genuine experience.

This is also mentioned in my post.

Again, it is also covered in my post on how to handle this.

So, if you read my post, you are not saying anything new that I have not already said. So I fail to understand what is your objection here?

Ok, I agree, that comment may have been a bit extreme. But you also cannot call them crooks just by hearing one side of the story from a couple of your friends. I have every right to object to that.

Read my post in full, every line and then tell me honestly if you still feel I am doing a paid/free promotion. I have laid down all the facts, whether you want to buy it not is your choice. I have never recommended to buy.

The way you trust your friends, the same way I trust CM which has given me so many memories to cherish, so I will also say people who call them crooks are not honest people and have a different ulterior motive in doing so.

Will wait for the update.

Also well covered in my post is the mis-selling part. If your friends have been subjected to mis-selling, I hope they get justice. But, I don't think anything the sales guys would have said/promised that is not actually part of the membership will be in writing. So, it will be difficult to prove anything in court. If your friends have been wronged, I genuinely wish them luck so that this mis-selling can stop.

Yes that's what I was saying. You have your own experience, I shared on my own by witnessing my friends issue with Club Mahindra. My comments were solely for company, not for you.

As I said earlier, I will update with consumer court final judgment whenever it happens.

My point being you cannot just call them crooks just because of some dishonest sales guys. DO you call Unilever a crook? Tell me how many of us know that when you eat Kwality Walls (with the exception of Magnum) you are eating something which has been ordered NOT to be called as Ice-Cream and has been classified as Frozen Dessert because instead of milk it contains harmful vegetable fat? Unilever has silently removed the word "Ice-Cream" from Kwality walls and has printed Frozen Dessert in unreadable font size, still it is India's favorite ICE-CREAM brand. Another classic example is Lays - when it came in the market their only promoting point was it is not cooked in palm oil. Few years down the line they started cooking in palm oil, silently removed the promotions and in ingredients section added palm oil. How many of us know?

Who are those rest? Are they members themselves? I have heard from only one member who is unhappy because he wants to holiday in his own terms and not follow any CM rules - so the reason for being unhappy is clear - if you want your terms CM is not for you, you should plan your own holidays.
Its not about my terms and conditions.the point if they told me you can not take holidays if you have days,or we will debit 3 days even if you travel for 1.no sane person would have taken the membership.

you said you were aware of these facts still you have taken it.also you decided to hide this crucial point that 3 days will be debited even if you travel for 1 shows clearly your agenda.

now you are calling other crooks who are fighting against club mahindra.you wants facts.let me share some facts with you.

travelled to club mahindra tungi in October 2023.studio rooms were pathetic state.sofa was broken in the living room.i asked for replacement they said they don't have one.had to wait for buggy sometimes for hours.very bad f&b.asked to see manage he was on leave.wrote detailed email after my trip to club mahindra nothing happened.

travelled to mahabaleshvar in nov 2022.one of bunglow shower was broken.again when i gave complaint they apologised and said.property will go under renovation.

travelled to alibaug had stain on the bathtub.bad smell coming from one of the bathroom.had only 1 mbps internet.when i complained the guy came and increased the speed.he told me club mahindra has instructed him to restrict the speed to 1mbps.

travelled to assonora in 2022 they didn't have towels at poolside. many guest have to get towel from rooms.

food is generally bad in all club mahindras now days barring exception of few.if you request housekeeping or room service don't expect it come before an hour mostly.sometime they do come in 40-50 mins.

I want to see how you will defend club mahindra for these facts.let me give you last one when i took the membership the annual maintenance was 11000 now its close 30000.they keep increase it by 2-3K every year.if you don't pay maintenance before there was 1000rs late fee.from this year club mahindra added 200rs additional charges per month.
