Biggest scam is the 10% service charge. Government and courts are too weak to ban that. Most people don't dispute it because no one wants to spoil one's mood after a good meal with family or friends.
Service charge is not mandatory. You can always ask the restaurant to remove it if you find it in the bill.

Even my assumption was that. However, it seems they have revised the terms and currently they have again started providing the MAB 0 benefits.

Spoke to Customer care, they say have to open a new everyday account and link the CRN. We cant open the account online as RBI has "Honeymoon-ed" kotak currently. So have to open account offline.
one of the usp of this card is 30% off on ED. but many of the members have informed in this thread that it does not work on ED app. is it the same now or still it is not working? anyone tried recently?

Txn often fails with Kotak DC on EazyDiner on first attempt. EazyDiner app will say txn failed so pay again, but actually your money is debited from account and NOT REVERSED after T+5 days. It is silently credited to EazyDiner/restaurant. When you try 2nd/3rd time, the txn shows success in EazyDiner but of course amount is debited again. Happened with me. Since amount was not reversed/refunded automatically, raised dispute/chargeback with Kotak who denied it saying both txns were successful therefore it means you paid twice, not our fault. After a month of sitting on it, Kotak told me txn was successful (after 30 days, we can't raise chargeback in Kotak DC/netbanking). Now I am in talks with EazyDiner to refund the amount paid twice. So overall it's a terrible experience. Kotak is a shit bank and they deserve all the penalties RBI imposes on them.
 
Earlier for Kotak Mahindra Bank Everyday Savings A/C, AMB/MAB requirement was Rs. 20k or 30 transactions in a calendar month.

Then they changed it to Rs. 15k MAB/AMB.

Now, I'm seeing that MAB/AMB is Rs. 10k but there's been no communication about this change from the bank yet. I'm maintaining Rs. 15k as of now but scared to keep Rs. 10k only because there's no written proof (email) sent by Kotak Mahindra Bank.

i confirmed with kotak customer care on call, it's 10k MAB Account.
 
you can have both the accounts or close 811 & open everyday
can someone confirm this in recent times. went to local kotak bank. he was doing account opening process in front of me in his mobile but it didnt let him pass through the app. it said 811 account active in past 30 days.

Maybe you account still not closed yet. Mail to higher level.
