Adding some more points to this.Someone mentioned here that u need to pay certain minimum amount in cash to get status nights.
I think it works even if u pay that minimum amount using points at property (not online).
I had one booking, which was paid online, but I used more points at hotel for lunch/dinner and then got status night for them. Although, status points was only for cash part.
Also, I did few bookings (not yet completed). Most of them are all paid using points (except few 100s). They are not showing any status points to be earned on booking page.
But one of them has around 20 euro remaining and I got it paid in advance by calling the hotel directly as well (it is same as dedication after check-in). And for this one, it shows status points/nights.
So, to be safe side, u can book this and later take some lunch/dinner and add it to hotel bill and pay that too using points. That will at least give status night.
There is a very simple logic to get status night. Always pay more than 10 Euro in cash/card. Or during the stay add something from restaurant or inroom dining to the room bill. Settle this amount during checkout using Credit Card or Cash.Adding some more points to this.
Booked 3 hotels in thailand.
1. Ibis - Flexible rate, Paid 6000 points online, 1000 points offline, 40 by card. No status points, reward points and status nights. Raised to support and no update yet. But i expect them to credit nights at least.
2. Grand Mercure - Prepaid rate, Paid 8000 points online and 400 by card. Got about 400 normal and 100 accor plus bonus points, but only one status night instead of 2. Raised to support for status night. They deducted those 500 points and credited just 14 points saying amount paid via reward points not eligible for reward points 😭, but at least they credited the 2 status nights to help towards gold.
3. Ibis - Non refundable rate, paid 2000 points online and 40 by card. Got about 50 normal +10 accor plus bonus points and 2 status nights. Didn't complaint as all were as expected. Haven't got reversed yet. I also got one bonus status night here, as a part of flying blue partnership, not sure if this is just one time thing, as I didn't get it with grand Mercure booking above.
So, in summary, I think status nights will always be credited irrespective of how u pay (contacting customer care would be needed sometimes depending on luck).
But reward/status points will only be on amount paid using card. If u got more, it will get reversed later.
Read point 2 and 3, i only paid 400 and 40, didn't add anything during stay and still got status night. There isn't any minimum amount. There is a very simple logic to get status night. You will always get the required number of status nights.
If you want status nights without any hassle, I am just telling you a way around.Read point 2 and 3, i only paid 400 and 40, didn't add anything during stay and still got status night. There isn't any minimum amount.
Read point 1, added 1000 points worth of expense during stay and still contacting customer care 😅.If you want status nights without any hassle, I am just telling you a way around.
Stay plus? Yes, you can just avail it for one night. This night plus is like 1 night we have to purchase and 1 night we will get free (total 2 nights then).... or we can just get 1 free night without any condition ?
You are not getting the point, dont pay the extra expense using points. Thats the key. Never the less, hope you get all your status nights.Read point 1, added 1000 points worth of expense during stay and still contacting customer care 😅.
Lol then I will prefer doing like this only😅. 10 euro is a lot to spend in cash. I have never crossed 400 also with accor hotels. You are not getting the point, dont pay the extra expense using points. Thats the key. Never the less, hope you get all your status nights.
Yup. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com...ts-say-yes/articleshow/100635146.cms?from=mdrAre 5 star hotels allowed to charge additional GST on top of an MRP product?
The below invoice is from Artisan cafe at Sofitel Mumbai BKC.
Also there is service charge of 5% which is ridiculous. All they did was print the bill and tap my card.
There is GST + SC + GST on SC!
Hi, I see many people saying the feature of booking with point is back - is it true at your end as well ?Don't! I am not able to book Sofitel anymore with points. But fortunately they accept points at checkout.
I booked IBIS Nashik with points before buying membership. As soon as I purchased Accor Plus that option is not available anymore. Glad I booked before buying membership.
I called Accor plus customer care, they said call restaurant and confirm for using points on checkout.
The regular Accor customer care said they cannot book with points from their side. Now my points are kind of stuck and can only be used for international destinations.
Not for me though.Hi, I see many people saying the feature of booking with point is back - is it true at your end as well ?
I see the regional certificate assigned to me will be based on my pin code. But there are some overlapping regions, such as West and South-west. So if my pin code is of 'West', which one will be assigned to me ?
Yes got it. I think it took just 2 days or less.noice, can you check if 20 status nights are also credited to your account?
