Introduction

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is set to launch RuPay credit cards with all major banks in the coming years. RuPay currently offers three main credit card variants:
  1. RuPay Classic (Basic/Standard)
  2. RuPay Platinum (Premium) // includes SwiggyOne, Spa, Gift Cards, and more.
  3. RuPay Select (Super Premium)
There are also two sub-types under RuPay Select:
  1. RuPay Select
  2. RuPay Select Wellness (includes Gym, Spa, Golf programs, and more).
Key Features of RuPay Credit Cards
  • International Acceptance: Supported by Discover Financial Services, Diners Club International, Pulse, and JCB.
  • Free Benefits: Lounge access, wellness perks, and e-commerce offers.
  • Bank Offers: RuPay cards are eligible for the same offers as Visa/Mastercard (e.g., 10% discounts on Amazon, Flipkart).
  • No Discrimination Between Networks: If your Visa/Mastercard is lifetime free, the RuPay equivalent will also be lifetime free.

  1. RuPay cards are on par with Visa/Mastercard in terms of offers and features.
  2. Newly launched RuPay cards might not immediately qualify for e-commerce offers—contact the bank for updates (Everything starts working perfectly after a few months).
  3. RuPay's partnerships ensure seamless international acceptance.

@Abhishek012 Thanks a lot for the info brother, I have been through this URL a lot of times and there is no way to apply for these cards using this link, could you please share the contact details/ email of the agent who helped you in getting this card? I tried contacting the local branch of LIC for these cards but they are offering LIC Axis cards and not the IDBI cards. I tried reaching out the IDBI customer care but they are not providing any information on these cards and asking me to reach LIC for this. LIC on the other hand is pushing for Axis LIC co branded cards.

Check PM for LIC card manager number.

Note - Dnt send your documents to anyone online. He will also help you to get your local area LIC Card manager number. Meet him/her in person and submit your documents or submit to your local LIC branch.

Ek card corporate credit card nikal aaya. Koi kam ka nahi hai. 🙁

RuPay also have 3 types of Corporate/Commercial Cards (I didn't share in my post because its useless here) -

1) RuPay Pro card
2) RuPay Business card
3) MSME RuPay card.

Any HDFC bank credit card expert here ?

One person apply for Millennia RuPay CC but get Mastercard then again He complaint and same day RuPay Millennia credit card generated and mastercard limit reduce to Zero and RuPay Millennia available limit 2.5 lakh.

Now today he got mastercard physical card with Zero available limit.

He contact again through email and HDFC customer support replied "As part of investigation, we regret to inform you that we were unable to convert franchise into Rupay variant for your Millennia card . Hence we seeks your acceptance to convert the card other franchise( visa/master)"

But RuPay millennia credit card is already generated and RuPay Millennia credit card number also generated.

How can HDFC Bank refuse to send the physical card after the RuPay card number is generated ?

I guess HDFC executive is not understand his problem and he doesn't know about RuPay Millennia credit card like other HDFC customer support executive ? That's why he got this reply ?

Yes, I guess he will get another rupay card also in 1-2 days.

HDFC Bank is not sending the physical card even after the RuPay card number is generated.

HDFC bank repeat the same thing, we can't convert your card to RuPay franchisee but RuPay card already converted.
 
Insider: Interchange model for Credit card on Rupay will be tier based. Discounted interchange (upto 0.15%) on transactions less than INR 2000. Maximum interchange of 0.75% across MCC. Standard MCC (Amazon, Flipkart, Ecomm) will remain 2% on UPI for all transactions.
