All RuPay Credit card issuer bank list & How to change Visa to RuPay Credit card:

NPCI is planning to launch RuPay credit cards with all credit card issuing banks in the next few years. NPCI currently focusing to get the banks ready, enabled and certified.

You should know RuPay has 3 variants of credit cards -

1) RuPay Classic (Standard/Basic card) - equivalent to Visa/mastercard classic.

2) RuPay Platinum (Premium card) - equivalent to Visa/mastercard Platinum

3) RuPay Select (Super Premium card) - equivalent to Visa Signature and mastercard World.

Now Before start one last and important thing, you guys should know. Banks never discrimination between Visa/mastercard vs RuPay. What does it mean ?

This means that if your Visa credit card is life time free then the same variant RuPay credit card will also be life time free or if you change your existing life time free Visa card to RuPay then your new RuPay variant card comes by default life time free.

2nd thing, Any offers given by banks are also applicable on your RuPay credit cards too like Axis, HDFC, ICICI, SBI CARD, BOB etc 10% discount offers on Amazon and Flipkart or other e-commerce websites (Ofcourse sometimes newly launch RuPay card is not eligible for e-commerce discount offers but that doesn't mean banks discrimination between Visa/mastercard vs RuPay. It simply meaning your card is new, bank systems are not updated, wait for few months or complaint to banks they will soon fix it. In fact, newly launch Yes bank Visa & RuPay both credit cards and few months back one person told Axis Magnus Visa Credit card is not working on e-com discount offers). So i hope it's clear. All bank offers are eligible on RuPay credit cards too.

1) HDFC Bank - RuPay Bharat Cashback, RuPay IndianOil, RuPay Moneyback+, RuPay Freedom New Credit card is available and already customers are getting this cards on RuPay.

Apart from this cards, RuPay Millennia and RuPay Regalia credit card also available, last year HDFC bank leak this cards on RuPay but currently no customers verified got this cards on RuPay.

Some customers are also receive life time free RuPay Moneyback+ Credit card.

Mostly all PNB RuPay Credit cards are life time free, if you apply through PNB branch or if you use one time quarterly all PNB RuPay Platinum credit cards joining and annual fees wavier and RuPay Select credit cards annual fees wavier.

10) IDBI Bank (LIC Co-branded RuPay credit card) - IDBI bank RuPay Winnings Credit Card, RuPay LIC 'Lumine' Platinum Credit Card and RuPay LIC 'Eclat' Select credit card available.

LIC RuPay Credit cards are currently available only for LIC policy holders and apply through LIC branch or LIC agents.

11) SBM bank (RuPay co-branded cards) - Paisa bazaar RuPay Select co-branded credit card and Gild RuPay Select co-branded credit card available.

12) Union bank (HPCL Co-branded RuPay credit card) - Union Bank RuPay 'Uni Carbon' HPCL Credit Card, RuPay Platinum, RuPay Select, RuPay JCB Platinum and RuPay JCB Select credit card available.

Union bank RuPay Platinum credit cards are life time free, if you apply through Union bank branch.

Nothing like that, some RuPay cards have minor problems like JCB variant but others are working perfectly everywhere in India.

If you read on twitter, many visa/mastercard users also facing some problems and ask for RuPay cards.

You didn't share all merchant names you faced card is not working.

Share the list of merchant names.

For Amazon, i already shared, if card otp page is not open then delete the saved card and re-add or transaction without save your card.

If you are using RuPay credit card then EMI transaction is not supported by many merchants on RuPay credit cards yet, you can do normal transactions without any issue.

No idea about MI but Samsung and Croma worked, There was some hdfc gateway problem on hdfc bank site. We are gettng 500 error on otp page on samsung website but after complaint HDFC bank fix the issue (atleast HDFC Tata Neu RuPay credit cards worked after complaint).

BOB RuPay is JCB variant card, already told last time, JCB card BIN is not integrated on all websites yet.

JCB variant debit cards start issuing from december 2020 and JCB credit cards from November 2021, it will take 3 to 5 years time to integrate new BIN series on all merchant websites.

Fault is from merchant sites, their payment gateway teams dnt know about new RuPay BIN series.

For example - last time i complaint to mobikwik support, BOB RuPay Credit card is not supported on CC bill repayment.

Mobikwik team replied, "this BIN series is not issuing in India. Mobikwik simply told this BINs issue in Japan."

Same thing, when i complaint to MI team RuPay JCB cards are not accepted om MI website, first they told me complaint though email and then i got reply, There is no problem from their side and kept repeating the same thing continuously. Last thing i told, share my feedback to your MI technical team and payment gateway team, they will understand the problem.

MI website/app already accept other RuPay cards, RuPay-Discover cards. Only problem with new RuPay BIN series number starting with 35, 81 and 82.

Normal BOB RuPay available only on debit cards and this cards are working perfectly on Mi, Samsung and Croma but offers valid only on Credit cards not debit cards.

I have used Rupay (BoB) CC is almost all major e-commerce websites and it never failed. Also I got all BoB/rupay specific offers wherever applicable.
Thinking of reducing Visa supremacy from my life by covnverting to Rupay for some of my cards.

I have Rupay card of HDFC, PNB, SBI and BOB. Never faced any problem. I also did transaction on Samsung using HDFC Rupay Regalia. It was smooth like any other transaction.

HDFC RuPay Regalia already linked with UPI and also get rewards points on UPI spend.

Other HDFC RuPay credit cards will also soon linked with UPI.

After March month, SBI Card, ICICI, Axis bank RuPay credit cards will also linked with UPI.

SBI Card mostly issue RuPay SimplySAVE variant through offline modes except RuPay IRCTC or RuPay BPCL.

I think SBI Simplyclick will also live, last december month MITC file mentioned about RuPay Simpliclick variant.

Axis also issue lifetime free IOCL and mostly everyone got RuPay variant (100% online apply and easy to get).

ICICI Coral RuPay variant apply through online, send request through online and you will receive call back from ICICI bank.

PNB bank RuPay CC also apply through online but you need to wait 2-3 months.

Union bank RuPay CC also apply through Union bank branches.
