American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card Renewal - Opinion

I have renewal coming after couple of days for my American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card. I just spoke with Amex support and they provided me 3 options for renewal benefit. Spent over 7 lacs in last year on my Platinum Travel credit card.

I also hold Amex Platinum Charge Card.

1. Discount of 50% on renewal fee that I end up paying 2900 Rupees, No Reward Points offered.
2. Pay full fee 5900 Rupees and get 10000 Amex Reward Points.
3. Pay 10000 Amex Reward Points from my Existing Reward point balance for full fee waiver of 5900 Rupees.

I think option 2 is better, interested to know your option and thoughts. They are not ready to negotiate beyond above 3 options, I tried my best.

How do I find out when my card is up for renewal?

I generally look at the expiry month. It is mostly the next month which is renewal time. Or look at the previous statements which is more cumbersome 🙂

Also have a excel with fee details and a note with daily reminder which contains this info too

Pretty similar options as what was mentioned earlier

2) 50% off the membership fee, i.e., 2950/-.
3) Get 10000 MR points after payment of the full membership fee.

I chose the 50% off offer because that made the most sense.

But you are anyways paying 2950.
So if you chose option 3 then you would have got 10k points in 2950 extra.
So the value is better on option 3, right?

They straight away gave me option for 50% discount. After sometime she said pay full fee and take 10k Mr. However for past 2 years am taking 50% discount. Mrcc I completed 1.5lakhs milestone for fee reversal so no issue here. For gold charge I asked for fee waiver she gave me 1lakh spend in 60 days and full fee reversal. Yesterday I chatted with rep and se
He said gst and fee reversed. May take 24 hrs to 36 hrs to see on account.

2.5L seems too much in 90days..... 1-1.5L ho tho better hota....
50% discount wala option standard hai i guess...
20k point debit for full waiver.... ( I said let's reverse it 🤪 I make full payment and you can give me those points)

Offer is same with minor offer changes to some else standard 1.5lk in 90 days or 50% fee waiver or pay full and get 10k mr
