I m seeing that many are applying for gold charge or platinum travel basis that they can use reward Multiplier by buying Amazon pay gift vouchers. But have we considered a scenario where Amex pulls off amazon gift vouchers from reward multiplier. What will be the use case of these cards then. I have a MRCC and I am thinking of applying for gold charge but my usage will only be on Amazon gv. Hence this question.

When you depend on only one thing , the risk is very high..not just applies for Gold card and AmazonGV combo....for anything in life...nothing is guaranteed in life .
If we go a little bit deep, life itself is not guaranteed.

Lol true. I applied for Magnus and had started using it just now and it got devalued. Hence this question popped up. Well I know it’s not difficult to do 6 transactions in a month which itself should suffice to recover the renewal fee.

I had this quick question. I applied for Amex Platinum Travel and completed my KYC this morning. Now should i wait for the card approval before proceeding with the 2nd application for Amex MRCC or i can go ahead and apply now. I’m confused because as per this thread Amex is not doing KYC for 2nd card if you’ve applied recently so like is it only after approval or before as well?

U need to wait until the card is approved and wait for 3 months then apply never apply one after another chances are u get one card or they may hold it seeing two applications .

You can apply immediately. I got second card approved after I applied within 15 minutes of applying first card. No Vkyc required for second. It's tested

actually this looks tempting 15k MR for 5800 and then close the card as usual 😀if u do that u r relationship with amex will be spoilt. Never do that just for points. If u close u will have to forfeit it

I think companion card is given only if you hold plat charge card. Currently they don't issue companion cards for others as it was earlier. If u hold paid plat charge and u can request them to make your other amex card ltf as long as you hold plat charge. Plat charge currently gives 45k welcome Taj vouchers instead of 1.25lakhs points but u can negotiate it with them some have been lucky to get points but u need to spend certain amount within or before 90 days of receiving rhe card only then the welcome benefits applied else it won't.
