in my case, luckily ek normal store(not a chain/ brand) par it also worked in a go. Like under 1000 amounts par.

bigger brands par toh it works easily.

I guess reliance par bhi koi issues ni hona chahiye, it might be a very specific issue for the specific DUKAAN u went on for

Id POS machine is from PAYTM or SBI bydefault it works
for rest of the machines especially HDFC and AXIS they need to enable AMEX ID

Even many online sites do not accept Amex. Leave aside offline. Few months back when I had checked, even sites such as Pharmeasy don't accept Amex

Apply both card at same time and just do one vkyc that should work , if one card is approved and you are applying 2,nd card post that , Amex will reject stating some internal policy criteria , after escalating they would say second card should be after 90 days of first card .
This is a hit or a miss .

Tech at Amex end doesn't apply any restrictions for such cases but if there is any scrutiny they may revoke the bonus MGM points

You would get a mail from Amex with subject "Important update on the status of your application"

That mail would have the reason specified .
