Devaluation Amex Rewards Multiplier -AmazonPay Limit - Devalued further?

As you all know, recently monthly Amex Reward Multiplier limit for AmazonPay vouchers was reduced from 25k to 10k per mobile number.

Now it seems they have further reduced the number of vouchers you can purchase by mapping the card number too.

As confirmed by Amex Gyftr CC, they have started mapping the card number to the mobile number you use to purchase the gvs, hence you will be able to use the card only once. (The worst thing is you would have to do trial and error about which number has which card mapped).
They said the portal might let you use it for another account rarely but generally it won't.

It wont let you buy Apay vouchers from the same card even when using a different mobile number.
Tried yesterday, the txn got failed after entering the OTP, amt not deducted. But in some cases the amt has been deducted and has taken 7-8 days for refund.
Also it has mentioned by someone in another thread:

Did you guys experience anything like this?

If they keep doing things like these, the way they have on-boarded so many customers in the past few months, the same way customers will start de-boarding them.🥸

I also used to do this time pass --
buying Amazon pay 4 transactions of 1500 using MRCC every month for 4 long years until I got fed up and closed the card permanently.
As of now I have time and this is my first Amex. So keeping it and hoping to extract maximun MR points from it by completing the 1500x4 and 20k monthly. The remaining 16k I am not buying Amazon GC.
But as you said, its a bit monotonous to do these 1500x4 monthly, that too since the 1500 amazon GC comes as 1000 and 500. So 8 voucher codes need to be entered in amazon pay !!!

Just focus on getting 8000 points for each new member referral..
Attack every family member, then your cousins and relatives, then all the neighbours in your building, and then all the people you invited (or will invite) for your wedding

At least I was getting 7000 Amazon pay for 18000 points for 4 years.
now it has crashed to 6000 Amazon pay for 18000 points, which makes the MR point worth only 30 paisa after 10% discounting on Amazon pay vouchers (compared to real cash)
True. Missed that era. Though I take only 5% discounting on ₹0.333/MR point. So net ₹0.316 if converting to AGC using Gold collection.

But now I plan to convert it into Marriott points with 30% bonus and use it for stays at their properties since there are some trips coming up

Have slowly started though I am not much of a marketing guy😂

I am in the same boat. It is extremely boring to do 1500x4 transactions per month. Every month I think of skipping it. But I wont close MRCC as it is free companion with Plat Travel for me

Do they still give companion cards?
Means, if get a platinum travel and ask Amex customer care to make my mrcc as a companion, will they allow?

Be careful Mariott needs 25000 to 1 lac points for just 1 night stay in 1 room

Vistara 3:1 values the points @30p or less
Etihad 2:1 values the points @30p
Virgin/British/Emirates 2:1 value the points @35p or more.
Singapore 2:1 values the points @33p or more
Qatar 2:1 values the points @32.5p
Marriott 1:1 values the points @ ???

Wow
How did you conclude those valuation ?

Virgin would be a better option for 2:1 points transfer

Qatar and Singapore airlines may be useful.
On a preliminary check, found Marriott points to be worth > 50 p in domestic hotels and around 33 p for Foreign hotels (Dubai only I checked).
Also if one can convert MR points at 30% extra to Marriott points, the value of MR points increase to >0.65 for domestic hotels and around 0.43 for foreign.
But all this useful only if one is willing to spend on such a lifestyle 🥶

Redeemed MB points for around 1 rupis this Feb in Courtyard SIN (108k in total)

Now Zomato is missing on gyftr. After Amazon Pay, this used to be only other useful voucher for me. And I usually finished 4*1500 and 20k on first day itself and forget about MRCC card using Platinum Travel for regular transactions during the month. Now if useful vouchers are so limited, executing trifecta is becoming difficult.

Did you use their phone at the time of proceeding to payment page or you had to create a gyftr account for them?

I have Plat Travel + MRCC.
I purchased 10K this month using plat travel.

Now it is not allowing me to purchase anymore vouchers (although both my Cards are linked to the same account)
You have to use their ph.no while logging in. Put your family/friend no and your email ID while logging in. Once payment is done Voucher code will be received in both your email id and friend/family ph.no. Only the phone number has to be unique, you can use the same email id multiple times.
