Devaluation Amex Rewards Multiplier -AmazonPay Limit - Devalued further?

As you all know, recently monthly Amex Reward Multiplier limit for AmazonPay vouchers was reduced from 25k to 10k per mobile number.

Now it seems they have further reduced the number of vouchers you can purchase by mapping the card number too.

As confirmed by Amex Gyftr CC, they have started mapping the card number to the mobile number you use to purchase the gvs, hence you will be able to use the card only once. (The worst thing is you would have to do trial and error about which number has which card mapped).
They said the portal might let you use it for another account rarely but generally it won't.

It wont let you buy Apay vouchers from the same card even when using a different mobile number.
Tried yesterday, the txn got failed after entering the OTP, amt not deducted. But in some cases the amt has been deducted and has taken 7-8 days for refund.

If they keep doing things like these, the way they have on-boarded so many customers in the past few months, the same way customers will start de-boarding them.🥸

Amex gyftr is now offering only 250/- and 500/- denomination vouchers for Amazon pay View attachment 65083….making it even more difficult to us. I had to buy 8 vouchers of 500/- value to add 4000/- to my Amazon pay

Right now for the past 2-3 months they are only giving max 2K denomination voucher only. But even those quota must have been exhausted due to high purchases.

Yes it's a pain to buy low denomination vouchers, but yes have to go it. That's the only option we have now. Off late Amazon Pay is becoming parallel currently these days.

You need to buy 12000 Amazon pay on Amex Gyftr every month --
6 x 1000 using Gold charge card
4 x 1500 using MRCC

Amex is making it more and more difficult for all their customers

New amex user here -- Q. Can I make only one purchase of 10K using my mrcc on gyftr or can I make four separate purchases for 1500, and then one for 4000? Aggregate of 10K with 5 purchases?

Have Amex patched the different numbers with card combinations?

I bought 6x1000 from Gold Charge and 2x1500 from MRCC using one of my mobile numbers and emails. Next, it said the 10k monthly limit had been reached.
I used a different browser(so there would be no cache issue) and tried buying another 1500 vouchers from MRCC using a separate number and email. It went to the payment page, and after entering my card details, it said the transaction failed. Any idea if this was patched?

Most likely it has been patched, you can try deleting the token for gyftr and then try once

Tried buying more than 10K Amazon Vouchers from Gyftr yesterday and post 10K all transactions were getting declined after using a different mobile numbers. Can anyone else confirm the same?

Update:

- Multiple folks have confirmed that their transactions are getting decline, so definitely seems to be true.
- Add-On card will be counted as separate card so you might be able to bypass the 10K limit. I will update this post once I am able to test that myself

So, in my case this is how it went:

In September 2024: I bought around 50,000+ Amazon Vouchers using different numbers but one Platinum Charge card.

Everything was going well, I've done this for the past several months buying over 40-50k of Amazon Vouchers.

Come October 1st - I got shadow banned, every time I would try to buy a voucher they would decline the transaction. I did the next best thing, I ordered supplementary cards.

I ordered them, used different numbers - it worked the first time. Got 3 supplementary, so bought 30k more worth vouchers.

Next thing I know, my supplementary transactions fail to. Even though I was using one number per one card.

I take an extreme step, and put all my cards as lost - get new cards issued. But the problem doesn't get fixed (I also went extreme and got myself new sims registered lol - since Jio recharge is 80 INR a month to keep it active and points worth much more.

But, well it did not work out. AMEX Cards have an account number inbuilt in them - users with multiple cards / supplementary cards have the same account number.

So - it basically banned my account number and hence any card issued to me.

Now, what I need to know and I am trying is - to change the account number altogether, so I would be issued a card which has no relation whatsover to my old cards. Would be great if anyone could help on this.

I buy approx 1L worth vouchers a month - 5 Plat charge including supp would take care of 50k, 3 Gold Charge incl supp would take care of 30k and the rest 20k I use my Plat Travel incl supp.

So that's nearly 8,000 - 10,000 reward points I am losing out every month as bonus 🙁
