Amex Taj voucher at Rs 0.5 per MR point ?

HI

I have read that we get taj voucher at Rs 0.5 per point , if we get amex platinum charge/travel credit card - But i have this charge card , it doesn't show 0.5 value ?

is it only for 18K and 24K gold collection. ?can anyone pls let me know


In screenshot as you can see, it is either 0.4 or 0.25 value.

For MRCC, Gold Charge there’s Gold Collection for redemption where min value is 0.50p for Taj Voucher redeption.

For Plat Travel it’s Platinum Collection where it’s 0.30p for Flipkart and 0.50p for Taj voucher redemtpion.

Nothing fancy just they named the usual voucher redemption options for Plat Travel as Platinum Collection.

Best option always depends upon use case. Even Flipkart vouchers are best if it’s the need of the hour and not travel. I always consider returns for Amex on a conservative scale hence value MR points at 0.35p.

Yes. But it takes a while to redeem at 24k unless one has gold charge as well or Plat Travel points pool merged.

No I took card way back in 2017 but have MRCC as companion so no complaints as such.

Why would I risk the same when I have a companion card with no spend requirement till the time I hold Plat Travel? Doesn’t make sense at all. Since past few years I haven’t paid a renewal fee except for gold charge where a partial waiver was provided.

Was curious if you ever tried. I somewhat agree doesn't make a lot of sense now after devaluation of 18k 24k vouchers.

Yes. Most of all almost 90% of my spends across my portfolio is on existing Amex cards so don’t want to risk the loss of companion card along with the vintage.

No one seems interested to redeem for those hotels or buy their gift vouchers
