If I have to guess, additional health parameters are being captured to identify if multiple people are using watch to cover up the steps. People may share watch with family members to boost up steps

You are correct I just checked then it’s unnecessary for them to request this data
You don’t know what algorithm they will use and can be faulty which might impact genuine users
Doesn’t make sense as not everyone wears watch while sleeping so sleep and respiration is unnecessary

after the update on 28th and "here" asking for bunch of permission not sure where we're headed to. tons of people have not received refund yet. so now with new policy it can take up to 30days and I'm walking everywhere otherwise 15,000 can't be done.

It’s fixed now. I use VPN by default here anyway. Today they allowed me to login via OTP SMS or WhatsApp and all the steps from the past few days were also updated. Since the steps are recorded in the watch and phone. Just matter of syncing eventually.
Came back to TF after a long time and was sure that there would be a post about this here. 😀
So, I skipped to opt for this offer (already have ultra 1), could have taken ultra 2 with this offer, however, consistent for 12 months was definitely a problem for me, with WFH, I sit for over 12 hours at one place 😛
However, I took the opportunity and bought wifey an SE under this offer and she is about to complete Month 1 (107 points done I believe with 4 days to go). 🙂
Lets hope messed up things get fixed soon!

now it can upto 30 days for refund..instead of 5-7 working days.
I don’t mind 30 days period provided the refund is credited without any other hassles
