Applied for HDFC Bank Diners Club Privilege Credit Card but received Millennia Credit Card.

Hi , I had applied for HDFC Diners privilage card, And the entire onboarding confirmation process happened with Diners privilage card. however I was awarded Millenia card. Is there any way to talk to customer care and get this changed to Diners Privilage card? Customer care number doesn't go through human intervention, its only robot. I have no idea whom to speak to. Can someone help me with this? Thanks. Also many say its easy to upgrade Millenia to Diners privilage in 3 months. How true is it?

if u have the mail that confirm the DCP cc as well as the screenshot of initial card offering stated DCP. mail them with all along with income proof (require for DCP if any)

Something similar happened in my case. Had applied Millennia, but got Moneyback+. Fought back and got Millennia!

Mail at grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com. Attach supporting proofs of application process, and highlight your eligibility for the card.

Diners Privilege card is no longer offered and they give Millennia.

As per HDFC, Millennia is an upgraded card vs Privilege

EDIT: I stand corrected. It is Premium Card which is no longer offered. Privilege is still issued. Thanks athadfjp

are you sure? They told me millenia is offered in place of Diners Premium (or Diners international), which existed just below DCB before Privilege was launched. they are still offering Privilege to new appliants (checked as of last week)

Yes, you are right. I had Diners Premium (Bronze color one) and upon its expiry was issued Diners Millennia.

I raised to them why a different card and they replied back saying

We take this opportunity to inform you that, your existing Diners Premium credit card has been upgraded to Diners Millennia credit card. The bank has decided to withdraw the aforesaid card variants and the existing card customers will be migrated to a higher card product variant based on usage and payment pattern on the card account. We wish to inform you that letter confirmation towards has been despatched to your registered mailing address.

So, @paragsatardekar22 you need to fight back here and escalate the issue.

don't know, i closed the card as they were constantly delivering it to the wrong address, and asking me to send courier to their office in Chennai for address change request, that too during lockdown.

another thing that bothered me was that they were claiming millennia to be an upgrade over premium. but in the diners hierarchy, only privilege/ black could be above premium. millennia is the lowermost variant in diners.

This was applied on card to card basis where in citi card limit was 2.3lacs with above 850 cibil score. There is no proof of DCP offering, except the mail, I had applied for DCP. The email from HDFC says you are being awarded different card than you applied for. Can this be used as proof?

Did you receive a verification call. They mention the card variant during the call. But the card variant gets decided upon entering the details in their application system. You can escalate and hope for the best.
